Global Harvest Wild Fennel Pollen Spice 5 g

I love this fennel pollen. I bought two - one for my daughter for Christmas present and one for myself. It gives a light but quite deep interesting taste in my cured bacon and salmon and also goes really well in celeriac mash and cauliflower cheese! I have yet to try it as an infusion in vodka, as another reviewer has suggested, but it sounds a really good idea. I know it looks small, but I promise you, a little goes a very long way. I have used it so many times and there is loads left. My daughter loves it too. I love its little metal slide front packaging too and the lovely fresh colours on the tin. It is a little hard to slide easily when really full but now half used, it is great. All in all a great product for not too expensive a price. I recommend it

Wow, how different, but how delicious.I sprinkled some on some plaice fillets I cooked in brown butter with capers and fresh chopped Parsley. It was out of this world. Made it rise to new heights as a simple but deliciously sublime dish. I believe it is quite rare and difficult to source, well here it is ~ and it's good.The packaging is also funky too. But that doesn't matter. I can envisage many different applications for it. In fact I forgot to mention I infused some in some Absolut Vodka overnight and used that with some Noilly Prat in a Martini along the lines of the Vesper Martini. It too was really unique. Crisp flavours of the fennel contributed to the vermouth. Cocktail in a nutshell: 25ml infused vodka, 50ml good gin, (Bombay Saffire par ex), 25ml Noilly Prat, all shaken over ice, poured into tumbler with the zest of a lemon & a large oily green olive. Love the flavour of the fennel pollen. Very expensive for the small amount but a little goes a l-o-o-o-n-g way

Absolutely gorgeous taste but can't get the fact it's fennel sperm out of my head.

Like this spice on special dishes not cheep but worth the money very pleased
