Good tensile strength. If you want string for cooking, buy it

I have used this twine a few times now on both fish and meat and have found it to be absolutely fine. It feels strong and ties nicely, haven't had it fray when using or stick to my food (though that is usually caused by tying too tightly). I also haven't had it cut into the food even when using on fish. I have seen a number of reviews complaining that the twine is too thin but I think the pictures fairly represent the thickness of the twine, view on PC if you can. This isn't exactly cheap but for a home cook who will maybe use this once or twice a month this will last me many years so for me it's good value for money. Bought to use when steaming christmas puddings and tying meat joints. String is good quality yet strong enough to remain in place during cooking. Plenty of string for the home cook to use so good value for money.

So many uses in the kitchen!

Used this string to truss a chicken up, before putting it in the oven ,kept the chicken trussed throughout cooking and the string didn't burn

It maybe thin but very strong. For Christmas I prepared 3 x 3 bird roast and used Amazon butcher string it held the birds together really well all the way to being carved. Proving value for money, it's fitness for use, and hidden from view by its colour when presented.

Very strong string, I use it for craft projects. Value for money.

Ever trust up a chichen prior to rotisserie'ing. Me neither. The string did eventually stop one of the legs flopping about. Quite successful in the end, so happy with my purchase.
