Easy Fix or an Old Floor Lamp Switch
Surprisingly, this piece I located on line fixed an old floor lamp that otherwise we would have had to trash. Extremely easy to put on the lamp cord, and it works like a harm.

Three reasonably priced foot pedal switches for floor lamps. The one on my lamp broke and this was an exact replacement. Simple to install. You can also convert a roller or push-button bulb switch on any floor lamp to a foot pedal one.

Useless for lamp cord
Will only work with solid wire. Useless for most people. Normal light cord wire is multi fiber and will not work with this device.
