How complicated is this to install? I have zero plumbing experience. If i can't install, what should I do?
How strong is the spray on this? I have a different model and sometimes it hurts because the water comes out in a strong stream.

LOVE it! Specific answers for those on the fence.

I had been wanting a bidet for a few years. Who doesn’t love the idea of a cleaner bum? Occasionally I’d browse, and think about splurging someday. Then the great TP shortage of 2020 hit. I spent hours (months!) researching and reading reviews. Eventually I just had to “commit” or get off the pot, so to speak. I took the plunge on the Brondell Thinline Simple Spa and I am SO glad!I had read about every possible negative, so when I hit that “buy” button I still worried. Will it fit my toilet seat? Will it leak? Will I need to risk the crazies at the hardware store to get more parts? Is it too cold? Will it look tacky? Two nozzles or one? Will it blast me into outer space? If you also have those questions, here are my answers.Installation: Very simple. It took me about 30 minutes, only because it was a little tricky to get the main adapter to thread with the washer inside. It was barely deep enough to grab the tank pipe. Be patient! Make sure it’s perfectly even and go slow. I am not a patient person so this was my challenge. I even looked through my washer box for a thinner washer - don’t. The one they send us a custom fit and you don’t want to mess with that. Everything else was a breeze, and I didn’t need to go get extra parts. Always a win!I installed it about 3 weeks ago. No leaks at all so far.Toilet seat: Ours is plastic and does have some curve on the sides. (See photos.) That was as an issue in many reviews across all of the brands, so I was afraid I’d need to go buy a new seat. Not a deal breaker, but an extra hassle. I was *thrilled* when it fit right away! No extra trips to the hardware store, still winning! YMMV, but I have NO gaps and no worries about the seat bending or cracking. It feels solid, no wobbling or sliding around.Looks: This thing is sleek and modern, I think it looks much better than the rest in this category (which is honestly why I gave it a shot). It fits the clean lines of our mid-mod house and general aesthetic, and I think it would look good with any modern decor. The thin profile is unobtrusive and the flat controller does not get turned on accidentally by our big dogs, or by my thighs. (Note: the thing hanging on the right in these pics is not part of the bidet, it’s a color changing LED nightlight we got as a gift - it’s fun.😁)Cold water only: Our toilet is in a small “bomb shelter” separated from the vanity and outlets by a wall and a door. So it had to be a cold water only, non-electric attachment. A friend had recommended a warm water, heated seat, fancy-pants model costing hundreds, but that was beyond my budget. Installing an outlet for my first butt washer also seemed excessive. It may be different in a cold climate, but where we live the climate is hot, humid, and downright GROSS. “Swamp-ass” is real, y’all, and it’s not fun. This bidet is a life-changer! It’s not freezing cold, it’s more like an outdoor shower at the beach or the pool. SO refreshing! Now I get to take a mini-shower several times a day and it’s like being on vacation!Dual nozzle: A single nozzle would probably have been fine for a newbie but I actually do use both. The “front” one is a little softer so my husband uses both, too - you can sort of lean forward or backward to get the right aim. This dual is not a “self clean” model, but clean tap water runs through every time you turn it on, so... it’s still cleaning itself. The little gate keeps them protected when not in use, so a spritz during your normal toilet cleaning schedule should be fine if you have concerns.Blast level: Can go from drinking fountain level to pro power washer level with a small twist. Warning - twist very, VERY slowly to start out! There are pressure adapters available but we don’t need one at this point. We’ve learned to respect the power of the bidet and go easy, but we are the only ones who use it. If you have it in a guest bath you might give people a heads-up. :-)To sum up, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Brondell Thinline!!I hope this is helpful to anyone still reading reviews and trying to decide.Your booty will thank you.

Product works great but was harder to install than advertised

If your space is limited this is harder to install but was worth the trouble once installed. It’s a great alternative to the expensive ones!

Great value for money and easy installation

Oh how I love my bidet! It is great value for money and has saved me so much on reducing the amount of toilet paper we need in the house. It leaves your bum feeling beautifully clean. It is so easy to install and works like a charm.

I'm feeling extra clean. This is a necessity in every home.

This is my 3rd bidet. I have previously owned a Brondell Thinline product, the one with a single nozzle. I think I had used it for about 2-3 years, but it was not even worn out when I replaced it. The second bidet was a generic handheld device, I'll add some more info in the next paragraph about this.More recently, I had been using a generic handheld bidet that had a similar design to an on-the-side sprayer from a kitchen sink. The handheld was okay, the stream was wider, thus less direct pressure in the targeted areas, but my s/o did not think it was hygienic because it would often catch ricocheting water during use. The internal seals were also wearing out so it would slowly drip onto the floor (leaky bidet, yuck), so it was definitely time for a replacement/upgrade.Installation is easy, though I'm sort of handy so I might be biased here. The included pipe sealant tape is handy, and you'll have plenty leftover since you likely will only need to use it on a single set of threads. In my experience, the thread sealant tape is only necessary on metal to metal connections. If you're going plastic to metal or plastic to plastic, you probably won't need it, but you get so much more than you need with this, it might help you sleep at night to just wrap all of the connections 3-5x clockwise. I recommend wrapping your connections with the tape first before trying to secure anything. If your toilet is plumbed with a solid supply line, you'll have to run out to the home improvement store to get a new one. I recommend a long (18-24") flex toilet supply line, you can generally make a smoother loop with a longer supply line than with a shorter one, if you bend it too much your toilet will fill slower and your bidet might only trickle. Your mileage may vary.Putting the bidet attachment under the seat is very simple, you essentially take the seat off, clean off the years of gross stuff previous tenants left behind for you, and then put the seat back on with the bidet sandwiched between the bowl and the seat itself. I've installed another bidet for a friend and it was not as thin as this one, she had to get some spacers for the front of her toilet seat so it was levelled out. This yields more points for the Brondell Thinline. As far as use of the product goes, I am very satisfied with the Dual Nozzle Brondell Thinline that I have most recently purchased. My only reason for marking 4 stars instead of 5 is that a single jet of water can be too powerful in such a sensitive area, although with some practice you can dial in the perfect amount of pressure without going full tilt on the controls. Also, I wish this bidet included a shutoff valve that would allow you to turn this thing off at the wall so if you were to bump the controls or the bidet were to spring a leak, you'd have some peace of mind rather than walking into a big mess to clean up.My s/o said that the "Front" function was difficult to use, but she might just need to try it a few more times to see if there's a knack to it. Full disclosure, the bidet might just not work as well with a round bowl, perhaps someone else might have better luck with an elongated bowl.Bidets generally get a bad rap from people who have never tried them before. It makes me feel cleaner and it's more environmentally friendly and cost effective because they cut down on toilet paper/flushable wipe use. Additionally, flushable wipes shouldn't even be flushed. They don't break apart the way that toilet paper does and it causes great headache and expense to remove them from waste water at treatment plants, if they don't form an enormous clog in your sewer first.I am unsure of the longevity of this upgraded product, but if it's anything like the previous Brondell bidet I've owned, I'm hopeful that Brondell has maintained the same level of quality. I will return here to update this review if I have any quality issues.

Excellent build. Great value. You get used to the cold.

Works perfectly, the "click" on shutoff is a nice interface touch and good reassurance. The great, simple control design is easy to keep clean. Very controllable water flow -- cold water only, but turns out this is not a problem.
