This is the best Italian cheese for grating over almost everything. Sharp and tasty. You just can't find this in Florida and the last place I found it was New York in a little Italian specialty store. Thank you for giving me the chance to bring my NY cheese to me down south!! It may seem overpriced to those who just want cheese for the Macaroni but I could eat it by the chunk. My little granddaughter loves it and we all do too.

This is my first experience with a $30 hunk of cheese. Guess I'm just a pleab. Don't think I'll do it again.

I haven't actually tried this shipment yet, as just got it today. There was a problem with late delivery but after I contacted the seller, I received the cheese today, and although it had been on a delivery truck for 6 days, it looks perfect. Good packaging probably saved it and cool weather. But I have bought this cheese before through amazon but a different seller, and this type of cheese is delicious. I get great compliments everytime I serve this with pasta and I love to sprinkle it generously on my salads. Pecorino / Romano is so much better than parmasian, and the imported is so much better than anything I can buy on the grocery store shelves. I will be a committed customer with this company when I need good cheese.

This cheese is like gold to my family. It’s the secret ingredient in so many of my family’s favorite foods. I don’t make any Italian dishes if I don’t have Locatelli in my refrigerator.One thing that I will say is I hate grating cheese. I’m kind of picky when it comes to how it should be grated, ie: like snow for pasta or in small strips when mixing with ground beef or in ricotta cheese.I was pleasantly surprised to see that my delivery yesterday was already grated for me, which I appreciate so much.This was my second order for two pounds of Locatelli in one month. I used up 3/4 when I made 8 pounds of meatballs and I promised my daughter some for her house. It’s an extravagance for sure, something that I cannot do regularly but with the holidays ahead of us, tradition matters.Frank and Sal is now the only place I will order from. Many places will send a lesser quality and grate it, because they don’t think the customer will be able to tell the difference. I had that happen at a local store several years ago and the minute I smelled the cheese I realized what they did. Some will mix the Locatelli with another brand. But this vendor has proven themselves to be aboveboard.
