Since I'm not the spring chicken I once was, I've been trying to be more a bit more health conscience. Trying to avoid certain "foods" and getting a smart ring to get some insight on how I usually sleep and what my vitals are like. This scale has been adding so much more information to the big picture of my current health.Taking it out of the box, the scale is very elegant and sharp looking with its shiny black glass and gold electrode pads. It seems to be well built and solid. The handle attaches/detaches to the base magnetically, and has a 59 inch retractable cord. The LCD panel has an easy to read colorful display with big numbers and readouts. The scale is "friendly" with little words of encouragement on the screen as it checks your vitals for about 20-30 seconds.I downloaded the app from the app store and had it sync'd up to the scale in a few minutes via Bluetooth. I did find that the scale does not function when it is plugged into the wall and charging. I would've left it always plugged in if this wasn't the case, But the battery should only need recharging every few months; So not a deal breaker. The Starfit app and scale seem to work well sharing information with my Apple Health app. Overall I am very pleased with this scale. I am really happy that I upgraded to a scale that puts so much more comprehensive information at my fingertips. It will definitely help me stay more motivated to keep better track of my overall fitness.

The setup was easy, though be aware that only one device can connect to the scale at a time, which takes a bit of coordination. I appreciate that it’s FSA/HSA eligible, making it more accessible. It’s definitely more than just a bathroom scale—it’s a full health monitoring tool. Overall, I feel more in control of my fitness journey with this smart scale.

I’ve clearly been in corporate America too much, because I have come to love putting data in spreadsheets to track trends and find the correlation between things. Lord help me.This scale is awesome at giving me a lot of data points that have been helpful on my weight loss journey. I can also make sure that I’m maintaining hydration and muscle mass, which is super important to me.This is easy to set up and use, and the app is really logical and user friendly. The only reason I took off one star is because occasionally it glitches and doesn’t want to send the data to my phone - it just sends the weight. If I turn the scale off and on again, and relaunch the app, it works. So, it’s not a big deal, but something that could be better.
