Very pretty, everything came in perfect condition. My only beef was that inside the drawer slots it was extremely dusty and the finish is rough like sand paper, so I expect it to eventually chafe and scratch the drawers finish away over time. Otherwise it's a great set and I'd say it's worth the money.

Upon close inspection, the wood pattern in the light squares are identical, which would be impossible if it was made from real wood. Just like the pieces are made from resin to look like real wood, the entire board is resin made to look like wood. The handles used to open the board are also very cheap and are not securely attached. Total rip off. The inlay appearance of the boarder of the board is essentially painted on. It’s a good fake, but a fake.

What a beautiful crafted chess board, amazing quality and attention to detail, even has an extra queen piece so the drawers containing the pieces can look even. It is quite large and wide, perfect for a centerpiece of a table, wood all around is glossy and has such a nice feel. The drawers easily slide in and and out and the felt lining keeps the pieces secure and protected. The pieces themselves are adequate for what you get, they are nice to use and felt great that they are weighted, but they are plastic and very glossy as well.
