NiteangelAccurately Hamster Wheel Pedometer - Small Animal Step Counter for Super-Silent Acrylic & Wooden Wheels

I’m really disappointed! I know this is more of a wheel issue than a pedometer issue, but I must warn future customers. I brought the niteangel xl wheel and I love it, super silent at night! However, I tried following the instructions (the groove) to remove the logo to attach the pedometer, but it doesn’t come off, the screw is just completely attached to the logo. I contacted their email, and they explained “ Upon reviewing the description you provided, we have identified the issue. Initially, our quality control personnel may have tightened the logo cap a bit more securely to prevent it from falling off during the hamster's activity. We understand that this may have caused some inconvenience for you.We have put the method of removing the running wheel logo cover in the attachment.” I sent another email relating to the fact I followed the exact instructions (already mentioned in my first email), but I haven’t heard back yet! There was just no way for me to attach my pedometer because of a faulty wheel issue, one I’ve spent ~$75 on. Seems like there isn’t much for them to do…really wanted this attachment to work! Just make sure you are able to take the logo off your wheel before you attempt to purchase this.Update: Niteangel responded stating they’ll send me a new one as the other wheel was faulty. This logo came out much easier on the first try. They also said I don’t need to send the old one back, instead I can donate it. They also sent extra supplies for the trouble. Glad they’re responsive!

Bought this because my hamster is quite lazy, now i get to see just how lazy she is lol Her high score is 2,900 but she averages less than 1,000 each day

Works great but definitely align the magnet/metal piece in back and test by spinning to see it will register a revolution before finalizing. It will track up to 9 days and I enter the revolutions into a site pawdometer.com to get the mileage. This turns out to be a great way to monitor my hamsters health. Her running mileage dropped off for a while, after vet check all good and back to her regular self.

I got this for my 11 year old to track her hamster movements and we both enjoy checking it every morning. He runs about 5-6 miles every night! Very neat!

This is great for your mouse, to check to make sure it's taking care of itself properly and getting its exercise. Mine really liked it the most right at first, and walked about 20,000 revolutions as the most it did. Now it is still getting 4 to 5000 most days, sometimes more, and I feel confident that the mouse is thriving (in addition to the fact that I looks really happy as well). Incidentally, my mouse has inspired me to be more active and take up a walking / walk run program. Each revolution is 0.59 meter and 5000 rev's is over 2 miles.

I have ordered two of these, thinking the first one not recording the revolutions was a fluke, but no, the second one doesn't work either. It turns on. Shows day 1 and Zero for the number of revolutions. Two pedometers placed on two different Niteangel wheels. Very disappointing, because I have been waiting for someone to invent something like this.

Niteangel has yet to let me down; and they certainly have not here.This product adapts quickly to their wheel with minimal effort and allows for an excellent way to keep track of your 'little one's' scampering progress.*Although this serves as a cute way to track their high scores and congratulate them after their marathon nights, it also is effective in helping to identify when your little ham may be having issues.All in all this is a FANTASTIC way to monitor their health.

This product is one of those things that you never thought you will need until it makes sense. Thought it was just a fancy thing for nerdy hamster keepers. However, it began to dawn on me that, in order to keep track of the running distance of my hamster as a gauge of his health and activity (mostly at night when I am asleep), this would be perfect. So I made the purchase and am so glad that I did. This Niteangel product is excellently built and is so easy to install on your compatible Niteangel Hamster Wheel. I have the Silent Wheel and it was so easy to just twist off the native disc in the middle and replace it with the Pedometer. The only other thing to do before attaching the pedometer was to secure the given magnetic plate to the back of the wheel as per the illustrated instructions given. Also just remove the tape that secures the battery from being activated. Once done and installed, the pedometer lets you know exactly how many rounds your hamster ran in any given day/night up to the last 9 days. The number of rounds the hamster ran can then be compared with Niteangel's list on their Website based on wheel size to convert the number of rounds to the miles or kilometers your hamster ran. Amazing. This has helped me to keep track of the changes in running habit of my hamster on a daily basis. Also to see how changes in free roaming time and feeding habits affect him. Pretty cool.The product is well made, easy to attach, gives clear readings and is completely useful. Love it.
