Incredibly Tasty and Authentic: A Little Goes A Long Way!

This is the kind of paste that later makes you 'well known' for a specific dish - in this case, a green thai curry.Incredibly authentic flavours, and I can't see me going back to supermarket bought thai kits/mixes ever again.Large tub, and lasts for absolutely ever - a little most definitely goes a long way. Would definitely recommend!

Really spicy

Authentic tasting Thai green curry paste. Use 2 heaped teaspoons for 1kg of chicken is about right as the paste is very salty and highly spiced with a lot of heat, you can add more if you prefer it hotter. Use a tin of 400ml of coconut milk (check that it has about 70% coconut extract) for a more creamy taste and texture to your curry. Add 1/4 teaspoon sugar to balance out the spices to your dish. Bought beginning of July 2020, expiry date 24/12/21. Will keep longer if stored in the fridge. The thick paste is in a tough see through bag inside a plastic tub, so storage is no problem. The paste is quite pungent, if you get it on your hands it is easily washed off, though the smell can linger. We have used jars of ready Thai green sauces that have been very acceptable but they have been quite expensive per meal and the texture is not quite right because of the maize starch added. This is the best product we have used yet.

Great green curry paste!

Having tried many different curry pastes this is the best by far.

It's not too salty, as long as you make sure you want a more authentic curry!

I was worried about the reviews saying this was far too salty as I always remembered this being a good brand. As long as you bear these things in mind you'll be fine:- Thai green curry is quite a soupy/ high liquid curry. I think this may be where people are going wrong as they try to make a thicker, Western version which will concentrate the salt levels.- You definitely need to include veg in your curry. Normally Thai green curries have aubergine, peppers, long beans, etc. and these are all going to release additional water as they cook (which also helps bring down the salt).Made a veggie curry with it this evening and thankfully it's been as good as I remembered. :)

Incredibly salty

The flavour of the spices are really lovely, but when made as per instructions, it is incredibly salty. If you used less paste, the spices wouldn't be enough. Ingredients say it's 12.5%. Anyway, real shame as it was just far too icky with the salt.
