At first I wasn't pleased; just looking at it screams "fake". I was going to open it up and add some weight but trust me, don't. The trick is to place it with the screen facing down. People will still pick it up, and considering its weight they'll think it's a child's toy. But here's the surprising thing: everyone will still push the button. Even knowing it doesn't feel real, even though the screen is wavy cheap plastic and the home-button sticker is off center, even when it's sitting near that office guy who's known for stupid, stupid jokes... people push that button every #$&!ing time! If it appeared genuine I'd have been punched long ago, but the fact that they knew it was suspect from the moment they touched it makes them feel like payoff is their own fault. Perfect little toy, just as it is.

Stopped working within 4 hrs. No battery life!

The phone is shipped with a protective film on the face and over the “camera” lens on the back. Peel these off first, which will also allow the front button to make proper contact with skin, and the screen will look shiny like the real phone. That should help a few reviewers that mentioned a scuffed surface, or button not providing a proper shock. I bought this to use as a prop phone to leave in my car at car shows, which mounts on the dash in a slim-line case that attaches magnetically to the dash mount (my show car lists an integrated dash phone for audio jukebox, GPS, and backup camera support, so I really needed to provide a prop). I then carry my real phone with me to take pictures at the show. If someone decides to steal the prop phone, I’m not out much money, but as a bonus this prank phone might give them a shock! This phone does everything it advertises, and it is exactly what I wanted for my purpose as well.

I could barely notice the shock at all. The lights both work fine.

Yea it’s cool for like a day use. Just wish I knew how to change the batteries to make it better because it does feel like it dies fast and it doesn’t look like an easy way to get it charged again. But it was cool while it lasted

Okay, here's what I can tell you about the fake shocking phone. #1 thing you notice is that it looks fake. It's much lighter than an actual cell phone would be. However, that's not so bad. Then you realize when you start piddling with it that the buttons on the left side that turn the volume up and down on the real cell phones, make a light appear. One light is like a normal flashlight type light. The other button makes a red laser light appear on the top of the phone. Then as you are still examining the phone, there's one button left to push. It's the "HOME" key. That's the one you'll get a buzz out of. It's a mild shock, but it's not the shock that gets you. Well, actually it's the shock of being shocked that gets you. I can tell you this much. It bounces off of walls nicely after the home button is pressed.
