*****UPDATE 07\10\25 ***** I used it to remove makeup and it worked great! I purposely didn't wash my face before trying the gel and it removed it completely, even my mascara. It left no residue, and I let it sit on my skin for about 5 minutes to see if it would make my skin softer. It did. I This stuff is WOW! didn't even have to use moisturizer after washing it off. This stuff is totally WOW!!!!*****ORIGINAL REVIEW *****All I can say is WOW!!! I got this yesterday and tried it out on a bare face. The directions say to use a dime sized amount of the gel but that was way too much! You will definitely have to try and gauge the correct amount to get results. The gel melts into an oil, and it It left my skin soft and smooth all night, it rinsed off clean with no residue on my skin. Once I use it to remove makeup, I'll update the review, but so far, it is a 5 star product.I'm not sure how long the bigger size will last, but when it is time, I will be getting more of this.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love this product! I finished my regular-sized pot right before vacation and loved it so much I ordered two minis, one to take on the trip and one for backup, since I travel a lot. I buy it instead of my beloved but very expensive Cl!n!que balm, and works just as well.Cleanser quality:I love the formula as a first cleanse, it melts sunscreen, indelible lipstick, and waterproof mascara right off the face without having to rub or scrub (just what my derm ordered!) and falls clear off when followed by a foamy second cleanse.Hydration:It leaves my skin feeling plump and is not stripping at all. The fragrance is pleasant and washes right off in the second cleanse.

I haven’t tried a lot of high-end eye make up removers but I have tried the pads and I find that they don’t get mascara and eyeshadow off. This works like a dream. As other reviewers have posted, it literally melts the makeup right off your face. I primarily used it on my eyes to get mascara and eyeshadow off. I haven’t experienced blurriness, tingling, or any adverse effects to my eyes. I’d also don’t find it has a scent.I haven’t tried it on my face yet because I have other cleanser that works very well but when that cleanser runs out, I will try it on my face. I think it’s an excellent value for the money and the jar is quite large in my opinion. I can see it lasting a few months if you don’t wear make up every day. It will definitely be on my reorder list when I finally run out. Highly recommend for the efficacy and the price.

Bought the small size just to give it a try, absolutely amazing. I can’t believe I never used this before. It melts the makeup off the face smoothly, and works like magic on waterproof mascara. I used to spend a lot of time rubbing my eyes to get waterproof mascara off and now it’s gone effortlessly. The consistency of the product is very smooth, I feel it’s excellent quality for the price. Even with the smallest size it has been enough for me for almost 10 days of daily use. Doesn’t leave the skin dry, doesn’t irritate and I have very sensitive skin most makeup removers give me red spots this didn’t. Wonderful product I’ll never live without it.

If you're looking to try a balm instead of wipes for makeup removal, I think the ELF makeup melting cleansing balm is a good option to start with. I personally don't wear heavy makeup so it was smooth to remove eyebrow pencil and concealer. I use regular mascara and had to wipe my lashes after the wash so if you use waterproof mascara, this will probably not do much. Otherwise, my skin felt good after use. No sticky, oily or dry feeling :) The inside looked a little empty lol but i guess most companies do that. It must've melted in transit and then hardened to one side making it look a little empty. That's nothing to do with product quality though so just a note!

As most reviewers say "a little goes a long way" which is true. I have been using Elemis Balm which I received "free" in my monthly beauty box subscriptions but I ran out. My daughter uses this so I thought I would give it a try. I found that it did as good a job as the Elemis did. I use a Make-Up Eraser (name brand) with this, washing my face first with the cloth, then applying the balm then taking it off with the cloth. If it is a heavy make up day, I do a double cleanse. It doesn't leave any residue and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. Can't beat the price. The tub isn't as large as Elemis but the price per unit is still much less.

I love this make up melting bomb, especially for some of my waterproof makeup that I do wear it melt it right off. There’s no more scrubbing. I’m not losing eyelashes anymore. It’s absolutely amazing. I don’t know why I didn’t try it sooner. Great for my extremely sensitive skin. The size is huge and last forever.

I love this product!!! It’s the most affordable makeup remover I’ve seen so far. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. And it actually removes all the makeup even waterproof products. It’s definitely worth the buy. Elf proves once again that you can get quality products for an amazing mg price!!
