Time saver and very accurate.
Great tool, bought because I had a lot of baseboard to install and the floor is not perfectly flat in places. Just set the height to the largest gap and scribe the baseboard then cut for a perfect fit. Super easy to use. Very practical size and functionality allows for the smallest of gaps. The lead is flat and records a thin line on the material to be cut that is easy to see.

Works great! Especially the flat guide.
Used this to create a base for cabinets in my basement where the floor was completely uneven. Worked like a charm. Having a flat guide at the bottom (as opposed to using a compass that is a single point) allows you to keep it at 90 degrees to the surface, excellent tool.

Best scribe tool on the planet for flat plane filler and crown scribes
I had been looking at every scribe tool on the market and somehow missed this one. When I finally saw a carpenter use it on the good old youtube I immediately bought it and I absolutely love it. Even some mates on site are like whoa thats awesome. Worth every penny. Well made and very functional for filler and crown scribes. Haven't used it on anything besides drywall/flat surfaces but I will keep one of these for life.

Feels cheep.
Stored inside its case in my pack out drawers. Still every time I use it I have to disassemble the lead holder just to extend it back out. Can’t loosen and pull it out because it’s shoved all the way in. Also have to scribe very softly to avoid pushing the lead back in as well. Should be 18 bucks at most.

Very Handy - with some modifications
I am a professional finish carpenter. This is a very handy scriber, and a nice addition to my collection. Collection because there is no one scriber that can do everything. I am using this to scribe baseboard to a hardwood floor, and I need a high level of accuracy to do this. Client and company does not use shoe mold, or scribe trim of any kind. Everything must look like it grew together. This scriber performs well. It doesn't work well for scribing something to a natural tile or stone. It's too long for that. Scribing to hardwood floors, walls, counter top etc it's great.I made one modification to it (I'm always tinkering with my tools to make them work better for me) I added two layers of teflon tape (plumbing supply) to the threads of the adjustment wheel. It now takes a bit of force to turn it, and it stays put in and out of my nail pouch.Pencil leads last a long time, but are a pain to extract. Don't over tighten the locking nut. It'll break the lead.So far very happy with this.

Well made
I have many scribe tools for finish work , but this one I wanted to try , it works great for flat work walls to cabinet / trims and floor scribes . I don’t like it for ornate trim scribes or scribes that require a pin point .This tool has earned its place in the work truck full time

Worth the money!
Time is money. And if you aren't a seasoned carpenter then you need this tool. Because it makes your work look professional. Should have done it sooner.
