Works fast is an understatement!
Miracle Care Kwik Stop is a total essential if you have a pet chicken in the house like I do. My girl had a little toe nick during nail trimming, and this powder stopped the bleeding instantly. No stress, no mess—just a quick dab and she was back to waddling around like nothing happened. It doesn’t seem to sting or bother her at all, and I love how fast and effective it is. Honestly, if you’ve got a house chicken (or any bird), you NEED this in your pet first aid kit. Total peace of mind. 🐥💛

A Must-Have
This styptic powder works fast and effectively! I accidentally trimmed my dog's nail too short, and this powder stopped the bleeding almost instantly. It’s easy to use, doesn’t seem to sting much, and gives me peace of mind during grooming. Definitely a must-have in any pet first aid kit!

works!
good product! works great to stop bleeding!Don't think it has a smell, pretty easy to use if you pour product into the cap and use it that way. The powder is easy to clean if spilled.Cap does come off easy so keep out of reach of anyone or any pet you don't want coming into contact with it.

It works amazingly, always have it on hand
I wish I purchased this sooner. My puppy has a few black nails which is really hard to cut and accidentally cut too close and caused one of my puppy’s nail to bleed and bleed and bleed some more. I googled how to stop the bleeding and most suggested corn starch which I had on hand but it did not work. I purchased this right after and once again cut to close to one of the black nails but luckily I had this and it stopped the bleeding instantly. I was so amazed how quickly it worked. I will always have this on hand but hopefully won’t need it.

OK. clumped since last year.
Bought this tub last year. Last week, I accidentally nicked my dog while trimming off matted fur. The powder was badly clumped, but I managed to get out enough for a polstace on the bleeding wound. It quickly stopped the bleeding. In due course, I covered the wound and polstace with a wice bandage, and then wrapped the leg with a medical-type stretch band. When I wasn't looking, the dog removed the stretchband, and then disappeared both the postace. I assume it ate the polstace. Fortunately, no damage was done and the wound healed nicely. Did its job, but nothing special about it.

In several of my emergency packs
I love this product! I guess that makes me bias since I'm reviewing it. But allow me to clarify: I love styptic powder, and I could care less about who makes it. This product is decently priced and the quantity will last a long time. I was a pre-vet major and so carrying this in my backpack turned out to be as handy as carrying a vial of advil with me everywhere I went. Yes, it's primary application was to promote clotting of small epidermal wounds in animals. But I actually learned of this product's value when I had to use it in an emergency back home during Christmas. One of my relatives broke a glass plate and was picking up the broken glass as carefully as he could. He managed to cut/puncture himself (of course) on the palm, right below his thumb. Aside from bleeding profusely, the cut was long and should have warranted a visit to the ER to get a couple stitches. As soon as we cleaned the puncture I thought of using this on the wound as a last resort. I do not recommend doing this, though. And on the product it says not to use on puncture/deep wounds. But...they obviously weren't going to go anywhere and so I thought "why not try?" The wound was prob .25" deep and 1 .25" across. We pulled back each side of the cut to expose as much of the wound possible, poured a bit of styptic powder into it, and then applied light pressure to the wound to compact the powder, and then proceeded to wrap the wound with clean gauze.Rather than stinging immediately like some people claim, my relative noticed first a numbing sensation for 15 mins, then pain in his hand for 1-1 1/2hrs and then nothing. The pain was not unbearable he commented, just consistent and annoying. Now this is a full grown man (150lbs) in his 50's. Don't know the pain threshold of younger adults or kids, so it might sting like hell itself to them. It's important to note that his puncture wound was smaller, but still should have required stitches. But this stuff did the trick. When I saw him next Christmas I literally could NOT tell which hand the puncture was on (I was worried about scarring) and where on the hand it occurred! Because styptic powder contracts tissue to seal the would, it can be harmful if applied close to arteries, veins, etc. that should not be artificially merged with other tissue. That is why its so dangerous to use on deep puncture wounds or large surface area wounds. I was actually more amazed with the results than what I thought it would look like. There was no scarring. Use with common sense, follow tried and true steps when handling situations and sometimes a little creativity can get the job done. And it is ALWAYS better to use less than more.
