Perfect fit
This solved my problem with my swamp cooler water line because my spigot swamp cooler outlet valve clogged. I just screwed this to the end where the hose would normally go, and the problem was solved easily. If I need to hook a hose to it, I just unscrew the valve. It is made of durable material and fits right; I only had to use plumber's tape on the small line fitting part with no leakage at all.

Just what I was looking for
Bought a 3 outlet attachment to the hose outlet and this went on one end the garden hose on the other and my soaker hose in the middle, much easier to turn on and off...

Use plumbers tape on each threaded area.
I’ve attached this to a spigot to channel water to a rooftop swamp cooler. Initially, I had to use plumber’s tape on the top threads to stop a leak, but then it started dripping from another area. I plan to apply plumber’s tape to all the threads and hope that this will prevent any further leaks.
