Oh wow I’m so surprised but pleasantly surprised…this has been a dream for me as a vegan to make my own seitan….!Other recipes seemed so involved…& too much work!ok I’m lazy. Cooking for my family for over 50+ years…I’m done! But I still cook. Not everyday.since being vegan for a few decades…it’s my responsibility to to cook healthier.So I made my first batch in my beans new Nreville. food processor…I pan fried it and added some onions. Seasoning. …wow delicious. Ow I can make this any day. Everyday…and could not do this without Anthony’s WHEAT Gluten. High protein & this was on the back on the package!!! Genius….

Times are a bit tight for some us these days, so I tried my hand at making seitan as a healthy, budget-friendly, shelf-stable protein alternative to meat or tofu. I have to say, it is easier to make than I expected, especially with a trusted recipe. On my second try, I got my preferred shape, flavor, and texture absolutely perfect! It is very filling and satisfying to eat.VWG is a much finer powder than regular flour. It easily clouds up and gets everywhere in the kitchen, and unlike flour, it's harder to clean if it gets wet. Live and learn!Especially bundled with the nutritional yeast, the price per ounce and per protein/calorie is just unbeatable. Definitely a healthy penny-pincher's dream pantry staple!

I am usually pretty gluten intolerant. I added this to some of my gluten free bread mixes and I do not seem to have the same reaction as I normally do. Maybe in my head or maybe it's I. The way it is processed.

I have eight children at home still. We eat a *lot* of bread. I grind my own wheat and make bread from scratch. Anthony’s Vital Wheat Gluten is awesome. I get consistently raised loaves that are light and fluffy. Great product at a great price. This is the one I buy over and over again.

This has proved to be a vital additive for my whole wheat recipes: pasta, bread, biscuits, and crumpets.

Good for what I need it but king Arthur’s taste better to me- we do low carb and sugar free lifestyle and I made veal cutlets my fiance said it was great but I thought it tastes better chicken but the King Arthur has a softer taste
