After countless hours of research we went all in for my daughter's "big girl" bed. We determined it was one of the most important investments in our home. We purchased a Naturepedic mattress and naturally decided to pair that with a Naturepedic waterproof mattress cover. It is great quality, is soft and does not create any extra noise, and provides good absorbency. We; however, have only had experiences with diaper leaks as of this point, as we have not had any diaper-free nights, so I can not attest to the absorbency for full-on accidents. Overall, I al so pleased with this purchase and would absolutely recommend the investment.

My son has only had one accident since we purchased the Naturepedic mattress protector, but this completely blocked the urine from soaking into his new (expensive) mattress. So it did the job well, AND it doesn't have a bad crinkly sound when he sleeps. It did add a little more crinkle then the foam mattress by itself, but very slight, so as to be barely noticeable. I'm quite pleased. Especially since I know that our son isn't being exposed to harmful toxins. We invested in a non-toxic bed, and it hurt to spend another $100 or so on a mattress cover, but at the same time, it was totally worth it.We have washed this mattress protector and so far it has held up well. I'm very satisfied.

EDIT: so after a few months of disappointment, the manufacturer reached out to me via email, I was a bit weary as they said I had gotten a cover from a batch of faulty sheets. But they offered to replace the sheet, no cost to me. Who was I to say no right? So I took them up on the offer. Fast forward, we tested the sheet when we recieved it before putting it on the bed and it didn't leak so we gave it a second try. It kept our daughters bed dry when she had an accident, we are more than happy with the product even after the bumpy start. For the premium price that was paid, I was originally very disappointed as seen below. We are very happy with this product now, and appreciate the patience and time this company took to right the wrong.We bought this when we bought the naturpedic twin mattress for our daughter. We were super excited at how soft and quiet the mattress cover was, not like the others we tried that were plastic and crinkled. In hind sight, this should have been a warning. As the first time our daughter had an accident it soaked directly through the pad and left a stain on the mattress. Kids have accidents right, it's what they do, this was with a week of starting to use the pad. We washed it per instructions, I even let it air dry and didn't use the dryer even though it said I could.Very disappointed in the product. Ended up buying a mattress pad from bed bath and beyond for 39 bucks and putting this one over that one so it was at least quieter.

This has held up to toddler accidents well! No leaking through to mattress! It is soft to the touch and doesn’t make any crinkling noise under the sheets.

I love this - worth the money. No crinkling. Washes well and I let hang dry about 80% of the way (or 100% if I'm not being impatient, which is almost never) and then it survives low heat for the last bit of drying just fine. I'm pretty sure my husband dried it completely on high heat once too, even though he wouldn't fess up to it, and it's still in great shape. Has held up through lots of accidents too.

So, I don't have kids, but I have dogs.... and I've found that the these cover the seat length of my sofa. I use these to protect the leather sofa from the dogs. Highly recommend if you've got animals to use these as a seat cover. (and the crib size fits over many dog beds - so instead of washing the dog bed, you can wash a crib mattress cover instead. ;)

I rarely review anything but this is a great product - soft, no plastic-y sounds, natural materials, effective, high quality. I was willing to pay for good quality and this was worth it.

Grease all over the package. Once I opened the package and pulled out the product it was covered in some sort of perfume-y grease.
