The palette is great for watercolors with ample pans for squeezing out different tube watercolors and ample surface areas for mixing them. My only quip is that, on shutting the palette down, it's not smoothly opened and I need to struggle a bit to open it up. Hence the four stars...

I did compare it to a Rs8000 ceramic palette with 32 wells.Pros:Slanting wells are good for color mixing.Beads are not forming while mixing color like in a metal palette.Not heavy as a ceramic palette.Easy to carry and holdPalette surface is not staining like most plastic palettes.Not heavy.Can close and cover once both sides are dry.Cons:Palette hinges are weak and will not open fully.Palette is not air tight.Not easy to clean when paint need to be preserved in some wells.Wasking with water plus mopping with a towel - both are needed to remove all paint residue.

Low quality but does the job good, better than nothing. The hinge gets stuck at 150 degrees, one side lifts off the table when laid flat. The model is very good for mixing and good number of slots. It closes good, I might buy better quality like metal instead of this for future.

A very nice and sturdy palette to hold in hand and both the compartments close and lock properly, balance is perfect. A good add-on to have for avid artists. As it's not a seal tight, don't try to close it with very wet colors or color with lot's of water in the tubs. it's a long lasting product.I am very happy with the overall experience of this product.

It is a basic plastic palette that does what it's supposed to do, store paint!It's only around 160rs and for that amount it's worth it, there are similar palettes that sell for 5 times the price, but a palette is simply a palette, it won't help improve your art much, so get this cheap palette and invest money in good paper, brushes and paints.This particular palette doesn't close perfectly and is definitely not leak proof, but you should not have any leakage problems once the watercolor has dried up slightly.Being a plastic palette, it will stain over time. Paint will tend to bead up while mixing, but this can be solved by roughing up the surface using a dish wash pad.. But remember that rough surface will get stained easier.If you have paints that don't reactivate well once dry, you should consider getting an air tight palette, otherwise this is fine.
