Malabar Coast Citronella Oil, 100 g

This is a very good quality oil - comes well packaged in a glass bottle and retains strong scent even after months of storage.

Ordered this primarily for anti insect application, mainly mosquitoes, as I have two kids at home, aged 7 and 3 and wanted to keep them safe from mosquito bites and mosquito borne diseases.I use the fragrance oils in an electric diffuser (cold humidifier) mixed with water. This year we've had a very high infestation of mosquitoes in our surrounding and decided to try this citronella oil as it was good value for money. For the past 2 months using it every evening from 5-7pm and have consumed about 40g of the oil from the total of 100g. I use about half a cap of the oil for 300ml of water and that lasts me about 4-5 days before I need to refill the diffuser. The mosquito invasion has definitely been almost zero since we're using it. So it does work. The fragrance is mild and sweetish, unlike the other citronella concentrated oils I've used before. So I feel that it might be mixed with other oils to increase the volume. Have reduced a star for that. The good part is cause its not absolutely concentrated, the fragrance doesn't last too long after I've turned off the diffuser, which for us is a good thing cause I don't want my house constantly having the fragrance of citronella.All said, for the price point and particular application of anti repellant to mosquitoes, I think it's doing a good job and will definitely order it again. I sometimes add a few drops of concentrated lavender oil when I want a change in fragrance. It still keeps the mosquitoes away.Hope this review to be helpful!

Does a pretty decent job but not what all promised by the seller. It was suggested to mix only 5ml in a bucket of water to mop the floor before evening but I used 5 ml in a spray bottle and covered all of the room, however, some mosquitoes remained.Pros:Does a good jobNo strong smell unless you use high quantityNatural so no worries about side effectsCons:ExpensiveWorks but not 100%Daily use so more work for us

Tried for few days, result - 95% insects and mosquitoes flies away,keeps environment hygienic, free from their nuisance,Preferred - as it is nonviolent and does not harm / kill insects and mosquitoes.

Good for fruit flies. Added in water ans sprayed all around.

Adding a few drops to a room humidifier not only produces a pleasant smell but also keeps mosquitos at bay.
