I started taking this along with omega 3/6/9 for the cognitive benefits, to help naturally treat my otherwise treatment-resistant ADHD. I ran out of this for a little while, and was taking just the omega supplement, and only then did I realize that it was really this magnesium that was doing all the heavy lifting. It improves my focus, my clarity, my memory, and my recall. I'm able to speak much more eloquently, I don't have words at the tip of my tongue, I don't lose track of tasks, and I don't get embarrassed at work by my neurodiversity like I used to.And I didn't realize how much it helped my sleep!! I'm a big night owl, and I used to stay up late, and even going to bed at 2 or 3 am I'd still struggle to fall asleep. I speculate that they could be opened, but would check with the company first.Not effective for constipation or anxiety, magnesium threonate is the only form to cross the blood brain barrier. Reliable studies have demonstrated safety and cognitive improvement.It took about 2 months for me to notice a cognitive difference.
