Perfect Poached Eggs
This is one of the best things that I have bought. My old poacher, a four cup type, was very heavy and awkward to use, I think it must have been made from a recycled battleship, so I looked about for something easier. I settled on this one as I needed only two pans and I have been very happy with 'Judge' kitchenware in the past. Although the pans look small they will hold a large egg and cook it perfectly. Usually four to four-and-a-half minutes, depending if you remembered to take the eggs out of the fridge earlier. Definitely a five star rating.

Fantastic pan, don't hesitate to buy
I read several reviews which nearly put me off buying this pan! I ordered from the warehouse and was a little apprehensive then it arrived. Box was a little damaged but I thought I'm not going to use the box and was expecting to open to find pan damaged in some way and have to send back, but no pan and accessories were all perfect. I remember reading the reviews about the egg cups being small and I thought yeah they look tiny and thought OK I will buy medium eggs instead of large, no big problem. Then I decided to have poached eggs for tea and hubby who previously was a chef at a well known Manor house hotel said he would try the new pan out and I said but I've only got large eggs but he went ahead and used the pan. He had nothing but praise for it and our large eggs fitted. He put a small amount of butter in each egg cup (being an ex chef it was really hard for him to use a small amount of butter as most chefs are like James Martin, a little knob of butter 😂). The eggs cooked perfectly and so much easier than the swirling water method or using those little rubbery cups that Bob about in a pan. Very easy to clean. So glad I didn't take any notice of some of the reviews and went ahead and ordered. So if you love your poached eggs but find them a pain to do, don't hesitate to buy this judge pan egg poacher. We bought the 4 egg version. Perfect for what it's meant for, great value and eggs look perfect and as we eat with our eyes first aid in their deliciousness 😋. The quality of the pan is great and as some of our pans are now a bit old and battered we will definitely be replacing with judge pans, not the cheapest and far from the most expensive but they are quality that I believe will last many years. I also read that you can buy the little egg cups directly from judge to so a cheap fix if the don't last as long as the pan itself which will save having to replace a complete pan set up in the future so less waste. All I can say is I can't see any negatives just a great pan at a good price that does the job it is intended for.

Good egg poacher
I was sick of cooking poached eggs loose in vinegar water, so I decided to opt for a pan poacher as I had one years ago. Not disappointed with this unit, does everything I want, now my poached eggs are cooked to perfection. Depends on the size of eggs you use to get your timings correct for your preferred egg consistency. Unit cleans very easily, and takes up small amount of storage space. One thing to be careful of is the small egg cup handles get very hot when poaching the eggs, so a cloth is require to pull the cups from the poacher tray. I Would recommend this item.

Perfect poached egg
I really should have got this earlier. I have tried poaching bags microwave pots and have never managed to make a perfect poached egg. This is perfect, and has a nice large base so fits on my induction hob

Perfect .. just the job, exactly what I wanted.
Arrived in a proper box with retail display pictures etc printed on. Well packaged, each item individually wrapped. Assembly was simple. Decent weight, not light or flimsy. The glass lid was just right, the cups were just right too, made of heat resistant moulding with non metal handles. The supporting tray was light but fitted perfectly and the pan itself can be used for sauteing, frying, boiling as well as its main function in the poaching assembly.Obviously I poached a couple of eggs to test it. I added about a pint or so of boiling water through the cup holes and inserted the cups. I used a dash of butter in each cup and let it melt before adding 2 very large organic free range eggs and the cups held the volume perfectly. I set the gas to low-medium and let it cook for 3 minutes. The eggs came out really easily and were cooked to perfection. Cleaning was an absolute breeze. All in all I am well chuffed that I didn't get a duffer but a very decent poaching pan and at what I consider to be a very decent price. Happy bunny!TIP: I slice a bit of cucumber and mushroom to have with my breakfast and let them boil in the pan water under the poached eggs. Works a treat!

It Works Fine...But
They say that it's easy to poach eggs in a microwave, well, not for me it isn't! I decided the finally buy myself a proper egg poaching pan and this one is the one I ordered.Firstly, because I was in a poached egg frenzy when I ordered it I asked for a pre-1pm delivery so that I could have poached eggs with my lunch the next day. I'm happy to say that it was delivered at just after 11am - so no complaints there! The pan itself seems to be of good quality, so I gave it a wash, dried it off and prepared to cook my eggs.We now get to the reason why I haven't given this a five star rating: the little cups that you break your eggs into are tiny. I was using large eggs - and not some I'd harvested myself from some kind of giant mutant chicken - these were normal, every-day large eggs from a high street supermarket whose name rhymes with "fresco". The cups are far too small for large eggs - egg overflowed and went everywhere (armag-egg-don?).The reason for four stars is that what remained in the little cups came out as perfectly-cooked poached eggs - I just wish that they'd been 100% of the eggs I'd bought instead of 90%.
