Avatara's review of Iron Maiden Somewhere In Time Limited Yellow Vinyl with lenticular print.
The cover card is of the highest quality and the artwork is faithful to the original version, the only difference being the "Hype Sticker" on the front cover. The inner lyric sleeve is identical to the original version except that is made from a highly glossy card of exceptional quality. The colour of the vinyl is flawless and very bright, it is very pleasing to the eye. The record lables are identicle to the original version which make the whole package a quality item that is truly faithful to the original version. The quality of the bonus Lenticular Print is excellent and Eddie's head really jumps out at you. It is a welcome addition to the album and it makes for an interesting conversation piece. The playback quality of the vinyl is excellent and the production is very well balanced, making for a highly enjoyable listening experience. Due to the fact that there are still copies of the 2014 vinyl re-issues available at reasonable prices, you could be forgiven for not dipping your financial toes into this pleasant pool of Maiden merch. The innitial asking price of £55.00 was excessive to say the least, this is why I waited for a reduction in price before "pulling the trigger" on the re-issue. I am and have been an avid collector of all things Iron Maiden since the early 1980's, so this re-issue was a must have for me. In my humble opinion it is worth every penny and I highly recommend it to any serious Maiden fan.

Should really be you favourite Maiden album
What an album! With all the great albums I fear this one gets over looked. Being sandwiched between powerslave and seventh son it will always struggle. But I certainly prefer it to seventh son. This version was incredibly over priced to start with, but I'll buy it regardless.

A must for any Maiden fan!
I absolutely love this album! I bought the original when it was released in 1986, and I just had to have this new release. Yellow vinyl looks awesome, and the bonus hologram print is great. Worth every penny!

Nice, but could have been better
Firstly, I paid £23.61 for this and not the ridiculous release price of £59.99. I wondered what was making it that price and on receiving it I'm even more baffled as it is a replica of the original release aside from the yellow vinyl. All it includes as extra is the 3D lenticular print...so in effect, it was more than double the price of a coloured vinyl for just the 3D print. Unlike the superb Powerslave reissue that came out at the same time, this has no gatefold, no liner notes, so although it's nice at the price I paid, it's nothing special unlike the Anniversary edition of Iron Maiden, Number of the Beast triple vinyl and the Powerslave. Still nice to have if you're a Maiden collector, which I have been since 1982. As for the music, well everyone buying it probably knows this album already - it's a classic and has aged well with some great songs which were played on the last tour- Alexander the Great, Caught Somewhere in Time, Heaven Can Wait, Wasted Years and Stranger in a Strange Land, although this is from memory of the Birmingham gig! One final thing, I am still wondering why Killers and Piece of Mind have been left out of having a deluxe or anniversary edition??? I just wish each anniversary edition (this is a year early) was as good as the Beast issue with the Double Live album, or are we going to get a Live After Death spectacular?
