Wont' Work for Most If Not All Automotive Batteries
This item is well made and the dimensions are as described, but auto batteries typically have 19mm diameter posts for positive and 17mm diameter posts for negative. These are the outside dimensions of these post caps whereas they would need to be the inside dimensions to be able to slip over the posts. The walls are also too heavy (3mm) to deform the cap into a larger post. Well made and I'd recommend them for smaller diameter posts (motorcycle batteries maybe?), but they will not fit automotive batteries.

Size and fit
They didn't work out for my battery posted, but they worked just fine for my neighbors battery, so I gathem to him and he was delighted with the fit, so he bought me a six pack of beer!đşđ

Didn't for over terminal posts
These were too small. I tried to widen them with a flat head screwdriver driver and they still wouldn't fit over my optima battery.I tried cutting them in half and it just wouldn't work. Waste of money.

These were okay in concept. Alas, too small. Would not fit over my battery posts. Had to be returned.
