When She Loves: A Dark Mafia Romance

Cleo makes a big sacrifice for her sister by agreeing to marry Rafaele. She's always been a rebel, not caring about what others think of her. After they marry, Rafaele, who was already interested in Cleo, quickly becomes obsessed with her and falls in love. He sees past Cleo's tough exterior and understands her. Cleo also starts to see the real Rafaele and falls for him too. Cleo's dad is a total bad guy who gets what he deserves. I really liked Cleo a lot. She was funny, clever, and confident. Rafaele treats her amazingly, giving her the respect she deserves. This was definitely my favorite book from the series.💘💍

I enjoyed reading this one much more than the first book in the series, mainly because it had my favorite trope.Cleo and Rafe's tale was incredibly thrilling, packed with excitement, drama, and suspense. I loved reading their book.Although the end of the story could have been better, I would have preferred an epilogue of their honeymoon rather than having it read as an extra book.

I had great expectations from the fourth book after witnessing the first ever incounter of Cleo and Rafe. And believe me author did not disappoint me at all I love the sass in Cleo and how adorable she sometimes act. Though even after completing the book I want more. My most favourite part was when Rafe found the list Cleo created to destroy him 😭😂 lol that was the funniest.

I liked it, the book is amazing but the situations in here and Rafe blaming Cleo but then again Cleo acted like an idiot so I guess it evens it out? I didn't know who felt more wrong and who didn't but the plot and the entire story was intelligent. I liked it.

The grovel went on for so long that at 95% I almost DNF. Come on let's not neuter the main male lead. It got annoying and I made me dislike the main female lead.

Very well scripted..... All scenes intimate or action filled are so well told it literally put the visual in your head

Absolutely enjoyed every second of it. I've read all the books in the series. When she falls is my favourite. Then comes when she loves. This is a much needed plot.

Completed the book in one day.Just couldn't put the book down for a second.....as always she never disappoints me with here writing...loved the slow burn very much..

An arranged marriage was planned between Rafaele (the don of the Messeros) and Gemma (daughter to don Garzolo) to eventually combine the two families and have Rafe be the don for both. However, Gemma is pregnant with another man's baby, and per family tradition, a Messero don can only take a woman who has not been with another man. Therefore, to save her sister, Cleo takes Gemma's place. Secretly, Rafe had been eying Cleo for a while, so he goes along with the plan, despite the reputation she made for herself and pretending she had already lost her virginity in hopes of never being married into the mob.Cleo does all she can think of after the wedding to have Rafaele get sick of her and send her away, but he doesn't cave. He thinks he can tame this wild woman and make her give herself to him willingly. They're both hard-headed and stubborn, so you can imagine how this goes. Eventually, Cleo begins to see that Rafe isn't the kind of man she imagined him to be and that there's someone more genuine underneath the mask he always wears. Rafe, too, begins to see Cleo differently and starts feeling something for her. After a scare, however, Rafe decides he can't let his emotions win out and forces Cleo away.Can the ruthless don who supposedly feels nothing and Cleo, who never wanted to be a mob wife, somehow find their place together?This is a part of a series but CAN be read as a standalone (I read this before the others). There's a bit of groveling in it, which is actually what drew me to read this book. It's basically your typical arranged marriage mob book, but I like how Rafe actually has a bit more of a backstory to him rather than just that he was "born into this life." This alone separates it a bit from other books of this genre!

Honestly, best book in the whole series. Cleo is such a fun personality, and Rafe’s whole “whatever my wife wants, my wife gets” thing was so hot. I laughed so much, and just had an overall good time reading this. Light hearted and fun. He’s obsessed, she’s pissed. What could go wrong?

Very intense story. You can’t guess what happened next. I couldn’t put the series down. Brilliant author. Great reading 😀

This series is the best Mafia books I came across. I counted down days until the release of The Fallen Book 4 and I wasn’t disappointed.Thank you Gabrielle, the characters you created are row and real allowing reader to connect on much deeper emotional level with the story. I couldn’t put it down until I finished “When She Loves” within a day. I highly recommend the series.Looking forward to more books from the very talented author.

I actually really enjoyed this a lot. I loved their relationship a lot. It’s dark but it’s also super romantic and what I love most is it’s all consensual sex so it’s really hot and sexy. I loved the story, his backstory is sooo tragic and wonderful and they earn their HEA. Great action, and very very spicy. ☺️
