Wow! This has got to be the best designed appliance I’ve ever owned. It works great as a traditional crock pot, but really shines when it comes to transporting food. I took it to an event at church this weekend and everyone wanted one! I had to show the group where to find it on Amazon.I also love that it is not heavy, is a cinch to clean, and is stored easily. Just get it! You will love it!

one of my favorite purchases. Have used many times and love it. Great size. Works well. It is easy to carry with the handle and has never spilled. I would repurchase again.

If you're looking for a worming oven for Brisket, this is the ticket!!! I ordered the 8 qt a nice size Brisket fits in it fine. On warm setting it will hold 135°F, But if you put a bath towel over from the back too the front of the top, "back & all the top" it will hold 156°F. Steady all day long!!! Held 156°F. For 10hrs. No problem. Will hold 24 hrs.Because I did when I did my dry run. If you don't want to spend a pile of money, this is the bomb!!!

After multiple requests for crockpot items in a month for kid activities, I finally decided to buy one. Knowing I needed it mostly for transporting to/from events, this portable unit seemed like a dream.Clearly, the designers were thoughtful— from the shape, condensation collector, lid removal, cord storage… and yet, they missed the mark on being truly leak proof! The handle does not tighten the rubber gasket sufficiently (when locked in place) to keep liquids from sloshing out the front and the vent hole in the lid provides another route of escape during transport. A makeshift cork of plastic wrapped in the lid solves the lid-hole problem, but I’m going to have to find a new solution for tightening the lid down.My one other request for the redesign is for a light to show that it actually has power going through it. I love that the dial is simple and I don’t need a timer. I’d really just like a light so I know it’s on at quick glance.From a cooking stand point, it is actually great on all settings.Couldn’t give it a 5, but it’s so close to being great.

Where do I even begin. We were looking for a portable option to have meals / tailgates on the go. In doing research we came across the Pesto Nomad series of slow cookers. After reading some reviews we purchased on and started using it. Our kids are in travel sports. We spend way too much time at sports complexes. We were tired of living off concession stand food. This cooker is being used to make team lunch or dinner. How do we accomplish this task?I generally prep everything the night before we leave. When we wake up of a morning, I get everything in the cooker at the house and turn it one while we get ready. When we leave, we move the cooker to the car. Remember this is a 120v cooker and probably will draw more watts than what your car outlet will provide. It uses about 250 watts on high. We use a battery generator (Bluetti brand) to power the nomad in the car. The food will finish cooking while we drive and play the first few games of the day.When we get a break in the schedule we tailgate in the parking lot with the them. All the players and parents are appreciative of the real food and not concessions again.Meals that we have made on the go.Walking tacos (tacos in a bag)Pulled Pork sandwichesChiliItalian BeefChicken Noodles soupetcThe Nomad will heat until about 200 degrees Fahrenheit then cycle off and back on as needed. Depending on what you have inside this can take sometime to reach that temperature.The Pesto Nomad is sturdy, convenient for travel, easy to clean, and is now one of our favorite cooking devices.
