Stovetop Kettle Whistling,3L Stove Induction Kettle, Stovetop Stainless Steel Whistling Teapot Kettle for Gas Stove or Induction Hob

A really nice colour of paint and faux wood, with good grip and whistle works really well. I got this for top of the multifuel stove and over the christmas/new year hols, when fire was on every day, i just kept it going, filled it to do hot water bottles, fill the mop bucket, make flasks of hot water so always ready to have tea or take a flask out in the car, endless supply of hot water, to the situation where my visitors were suggesting I give the whistling kettle a rest :-) This was on a solid fuel stove at quite high temps at times, up to 400C at hottest. My paint has not discoloured, so far, as others reported on reviews. Wasn't an expensive item for its looks. Obv won't be lasting 40 yrs like the big heavy kettles but this is really good and if lasted a couple yrs I'd happily get another one. Obv you could use it on a gas hob too but not tried it for that.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Bought this as a housewarming gift, as it matched their colour scheme and they now have a gas hob. They were absolutely delighted and it is now affectionately referred to as "The singing kettle" (a Scottish reference to a children's travelling entertainment show)

It arrived in its box which was dropped on the floor by the delivery guy as I was opening the door. He didn't look back or acknowledge my protest at my delivery being dropped on the floor. Was worried it was damaged as it's in a plastic bag inside the box. The kettle is light. A soft mint green. The handle is 'wooden' that folds down and the whistle is made of the same material. It's easy to fill, 3.0L. Boils quickly and not hot to the touch. The pour is good with no drip and all in all looks good. Fingers crossed there seems to be no damage.

Product arrived promptly, after a week the colour faded around the middle of the kettle.

I bought one of these kettles a couple of years ago and it's been great, until unfortunately the lid wasnt on properly one day and it boiled dry. No problem I thought, I'll order another.I returned the replacement as the lid didn't fit properly and let out steam, both meaning it took longer to boil (with a pathetic whistle) and also meant it was potentially dangerous for someone getting burnt. I ordered another to replace it, thinking that was a one off.My replacement arrived today, and it will also be going back and a different brand purchased since it is doing exactly the same thing.I don't know if manufacturing has changed since I bought the original, but if it has, it needs to change back, fast.

Had this nearly 2 months now and it’s used as our main kettle. Has kept it’s colour, but we don’t put it on a gas that laps up the side, we learned from last mistakes. The handle is made from heat proof material, not plastic. Very pretty colour, lightweight and worth the money. Would buy again.

True to colour & good sturdy handle. Love it.... Boils really quickly too with great loud whistle!!!
