We do no put a lot of wet trash into this bag, so cannot judge how it will hold up to a lot of dampness, but hope it will actually degrade when in a landfill. The draw-strings work well, although it is not puncture-proof proof has been sturdy enough to fill completely.

These are the strongest compostable bags we have used, and we have tried several brands. These are strong enough to hold a week's worth of compost and carry it out to the car, and then to the County compost bin. With other brands, we have had to double-bag. They don't rip when you pull the bags apart either.

As compostable garbage bags go, these are the sturdiest I’ve tried. They fit a standard kitchen size bin. Generally they’re fine, but the tie strips do tend to rip out as you’re tying it . Be careful not to over stuff the garbage and you’ll be fine!

I purchased these bags because I want to get away from petroleum-based products. I was quite shocked at how durable these bags are. I know they are pricey but get a lot and I think they're better for the environment. I highly recommend it!

I wish these did the one thing they are expected to do: hold garbage, but unfortunately, I have changed my trash several times now and every time the bag rips immediately, and if there is any moisture it leaks through. I really wanted to like these, and find a more eco-friendly alternative to plastic bags but these are not it. Every time I change the garbage I need to dump my trash can into a new bag because the bag has ripped and garbage is falling out, or there is a pool of moisture at the bottom. It is gross. I will finish the box because I don't like wasting things, but learn from me and not buy them! I was much happier with Seventh Generation brand.

I like the size and quality of the bags. We just have to be careful not to get a lot of liquid in the bags or they don’t hold up as well. If we watch this, they do fine and I feel better about using them for our environment.

I loved these bags when I got my first box. I found them to be sturdy enough to take from the kitchen garbage can to the outdoor bin. They also held up against damp trash. So, I ordered them again. From the second box, I pulled 3 bags in succession and each of them split at the seam while trying to fit them over the same garbage can (see photo). I gave 3 stars only because of my initial favorable experience. I hope the manufacturer can take steps to ensure quality.UPDATE: this seemed to be a blip, as I just opened another box I had on hand, and those bags were fine. The company also reimbursed me for the faulty box. I'm happy to give them a second chance.

These bags are great. They feel a little funny at first, but you get used to them in no time. They do not leak and they’re super strong. I’m very happy with them. I will not use anything else from now on, goodbye plastic.!!
