I actually can't review this item properly yet as I haven't used it! However, it certainly looks the part and appears to be professional-quality stainless steel of good construction and big enough for a beef, leg of lamb or large chicken roast. It's certainly better than the much smaller aluminium version that I used to have and more convenient than using aluminium foil, and without the disadvantages that aluminium can bring to long-term health. In my opinion a good price for a useful kitchen tool that should last a lifetime.Will post a future update following use.UPDATE 6 JUNE 15Have just cooked my first leg of lamb in this roaster. No faffing about with extra-wide aluminium foil that is invariably too small no matter how much you pull off the roll, causing unexpected gaps allowing juices to evaporate and escape into the oven, coating the inside of the oven with grease, and affecting the quality of the finished dish. Also no chance of the sharp leg bone puncturing foil because the plastic 'guard' (can't remember the technical term) has fallen off or has melted, thus allowing ALL of the juices to escape and causing the equivalent of an oven oilspill requiring a serious and lengthy clean-up operation (and worst of all --- no gravy!) And no more concern about the health effects of using aluminium for cooking.Having got past the moaning about the past, this roaster is a joy to use. It's a good size, feels very sturdy and 'seems right for the job'. It's also very easy to clean afterwards.I'll admit that the lambleg was slightly overcooked because of my cautiousness and not being used to this particular item, but it was still very good lamb, along with the plentiful gravy produced using the retained juices. I'll get it spot on next time.One of the best pieces of kitchen equipment that I've ever bought. I would buy another but I suspect that I'll never need to.

I love the quality and shape of this purchase. The first attempt of Roasting wasn't great my expectations were too high. I have found it wonderful for cooking chickens without the trivet, the meat is tender and moist. I need to gain more experience with Roasting joints of beef, but so far I have found it gave me better results without the lid and its easy to clean. We learn by experience as the saying goes. A good but and easy to handle.

Decent roaster, the pan and lid are solid enough and the size is sufficient for a big chicken or shoulder of lamb. No problem with the seemingly oddly placed handles.Top plus: you can take out the roast and grill, add a little water and stand the whole thing on the cooker afterwards to make some lovely jusTop minus: the grill is very close to the base, so for something that creates a lot of drippings, that might be a problem but it's overall a small minus as I don't envisage this being a problem often if at all.

Good quality construction. I like the handle placement as it helps balance the weight and fits smaller ovens. This easy to clean and has remained shiny and clean looking even after many uses. I’m happy with this purchase.

Good sized tin, with trivet. Unfortunately tarnished very quickly inside.

Excellent and totally ‘fit for purpose’. The large size makes it versatile and practical complete with tray to lift meat off the base. Dimples in lid for self basting work perfectly.
