The Little Vacuum Cleaner That Could
I'd never heard of this brand before but it had great reviews that peaked my curiosity. I bought this vacuum cleaner for my mother who has cats and dogs with a household of people with dust allergies. We like our creature comforts (plush furnishings, carpets, etc). Being on budget, I wanted to buy something that truly worked well for the situation, was practical, and was economical. I'm a quality hunter and do my homework before I make a purchase. I bought the pet brush as well, by the way. I will be buying this for myself for my home and I highly recommend it.This vacuum cleaner has everything you would want in a vacuum cleaner. It's a gem right now with pollen and the like in the air. I use this a few days per week. Some people talk about noise when they're looking for a vacuum cleaner but who cares when the performance of this machine is so stellar? We have high pile carpets in some areas, tile, and wood floors throughout the house. This vacuum cleaner gets it right on every surface the first time. It has powerful suction that rivalled our older Electrolux vacuum cleaner, impressive. The attachments are a must have if you have pets and they work so well. It's just light enough as well and stores easily with the clip that's on the bottom to keep it all "together" in a space. The bagless feature is just perfect as I won't have to be looking to hoard vacuum cleaner bags. As far as everything goes I have no complaints about this machine. I hope it stands the test of time and if it doesn't, will just buy a new one. A vacuum cleaner that's a great buy.

Little vac tackles big drywall dust cleanup
The Ovente ST2010 is a great little vac for household applications. It has great suction for a vac of its size and is equally proficient in cleaning floors and most low-pile carpets. The real test of this vac's cleaning prowess came when sanding dust from a skimcoat job got pass protective dust barriers and made its way into the client's living room. While my shop vac could easily tackle the job, it was too unwieldy to maneuver in an already congested living room . The Ovente ST2010's HEPA filter, furniture brush and compact size made it an ideal candidate for this project--plus it fit neatly into a gym bag (see photo).Preparing for combatWhile I was confident that the vac's removable pre-filter would trap most of the large dust particles, I wasn't quite sure how well the HEPA filter would hold up to the fine powdery sanding dust. I didn't want to risk choking the vac with sanding dust so I decided to make a slight modification to the filter assembly. After removing the particle filter, I took a pantyhose and cut off a small piece of the ankle portion and slid it over the HEPA filter, making sure it overlapped the top and bottom edges slightly. I then replaced the particle filter over the stocking clad HEPA filter and reassembled the canister assembly. I felt confident that I was now prepared to tackled this cleanup project. The battle wonThe Ovente ST2010 powered through the cleanup project without complaint. The furniture brush attachment did an excellent job of vacuuming the sofa without damaging the fabric. At no time during this two plus-hour cleanup was there a reduction in suction power. Best of all, there was no indication that any sanding dust was exiting the vac exhaust port or dust canister. This was clearly evident when I removed the dust canister and examined the vac's suction and exhaust ports for evidence of white sanding dust (see photos).Take away notesUsing a pantyhose as a pre-filter will greatly extend the life of the HEPA filter—simply replace the used pantyhose pre-filter with a fresh one each time you clean the dust canister. While the Ovente ST2010 will never replace my shopvac for large volume sanding dust cleanup projects, I highly recommend it for most household and office cleaning applications where lightweight portability and compact size are a must. The vac's range of cleaning applications can also be greatly expandable with optional cleaning attachments like the Micro Vacuum Attachment Kit - 7 Piece or VonHaus Universal Vacuum Cleaner Attachments / Accessories for 32mm (1 1/4 inch) & 35mm (1 3/8 inch) Standard Hose - 8 Pc Crevice Upholstery Brush Tool Cleaning Kit also available on Amazon.

It's lightweight, maneuverable, has plenty of suction
Very happy, so far, with my purchase. I wanted a second vacuum. One that was a small, maneuverable canister vacuum that didn't cost a lot. I have a tri-level quad house with hardwood floors except for the very thick and plush carpet in the family room and a thinner commercial grade on the stairs and hallway of the top level. I was tired of lugging my Kenmore canister with powerhead up the stairs just to do a quick vacuum of cat hair and scattered litter.I just gave this baby a quick run for its money in the back bedroom where I keep two cat boxes and in the main bathroom. It quickly sucked up the litter and the cat fur. I even took the floor attachment for a quick swipe on the bed where one of my long-haired cats shed all over. I have a double quilt on the twin bed so I tuck the sides in the mattress. The vacuum readily got the fur off the bed. I haven't tried the pet attachment yet. But overall, I am very pleased with my $66 purchase and delighted with the Prime 2-day delivery.I'm generally not a fan of bagless canisters but I wanted an auto-rewind canister and it didn't seem like I could have both and still spend less than $75. So the auto-rewind was the winner. Overall the first empty of the cannister was dusty and full of pet fur but not too bad. I think I can deal with the bagless part of it if it keeps performing as well as it did on its first 10-minute use. I'm looking for a 2nd one that I can keep upstairs on the top level for a quick run over the hallway and tiny bathroom where the 4th cat box resides. It would be great to have a powerhead for the carpet but after the quick swipe on a couple of the carpeted stairs on my way to do the bathroom, I may not really need one. I may just get a 2nd Ovente.Edit 2/20/2020:Ok, so I've had it for about 3 months now. I've purchased the EZ SPARES Turbo Brush Head https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07541ZPBK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and I have used it on the 2nd level in the bathroom, hallway and guest bedroom as well as the 3rd level hallway and bathroom. I have 2 Maine Coon cats who are brother and sister and when they decide to wrestle up in that hallway they leave behind enough fur that I could knit another cat. The EZ SPARES Turbo Brush Head makes short work of vacuuming all those tufts of long fur. Granted I have to clean out the beater brush afterward but that's no big deal.I purchased 2 extra filters so after I'm done using the vacuum, I empty the receptacle, wipe the inside down with an antibacterial wipe and dry with a paper towel. I then take the filter to the trash can to clean off since it's usually loaded with fur, litter and dust. After banging the filter against the can a few times to dislodge most of the dust and dirt, I rinse out the round filter and the fabric one that velcros around it until clean and then set out to dry. I take the spare clean filter and put back into the vacuum so it is ready to be used.TIP:For those who have a hard time getting the floor attachment off the wand, have someone help by twisting the floor attachment while you twist the wand in the opposite direction. Once you get it off, spray some WD/40 on the inside sleeve of the attachment to act as a lubricant for easy removal.
