We love that we were able to buy additional covers for ...
We love that we were able to buy additional covers for our water bottles. Number one, most of the bottles we purchased did not have the sports bottle (pop up) cap and this is the style we use. Also, if you have teenagers that use these and drop them just right the top can break. It was not the quality of the product that caused it to break, it was how it hit the hard surface and caught the lip of the mouth piece. They fit all brands that have the 1.8" dia opening. BE SURE TO CHECK THE OPENING OF THE BOTTLE DIAMETER before purchasing. We have several different brands (purchased because of color/pattern) and this fits all of the ones with the 1.8" dia opening properly and without leaking.

No vent
This cap has a fatal design flaw in that there is no air inlet vent. As a result the bottle pulls a vacuum and it is impossible to get more than a sip out of it in one drink. It might work okay for taking a small sip on the treadmill, but if you want a mouthful or more...look elsewhere.

Itās my favorite lid!
I actually change lids to use it on my different bottles.

Great to drink fromš
The rubber is harder than the hydro flask brand but okay. Iām using it for hydro flask bottles. I donāt want to rate the other 3 .. havenāt tried it yet.

Updated review
UPDATED REVIEW: (changed to 3 stars from 4 stars) I just had to order my second cap. I contemplated going with another brand, but since the name brand one, being a softer plastic, wore out and leaked, I really didn't want to pay several dollars more for that one. I am a bit frustrated that, after a few months, both brands I have had have needed replacing. This is my third sports cap in 2 years! The softer name brand deteriorated, and this harder plastic one lost the little piece in the middle that prevents the cap from leaking. This one is taking a bit of getting used to as the cap does not want to stay up when I am sipping out of it, and I have to rotate the spout a bit just the right way to get it to not close while I am drinking. But it seems like there is no perfectly great sports cap out there, so I am stuck with it, I guess.ORIGINAL REVIEW: (I had given 4 stars at this point) I bought this when my name brand sports cap was deteriorating. While I like the hard plastic part better than the rubber as far as seeming like it may not wear out as fast, it's not quite as easy to sip out of and seems harder to not make a loud sound as I pull my mouth off, which is a bit tricky if I'm in a place like church or a movie theater or something. It sticks up a bit higher than the mouth piece on the name brand one, and I believe the part you hold onto has a slightly smaller hole for your finger, but that's not a big deal. I've had some condensation on the top, but no leaking that I've noticed if it is closed up.

Best buy
Fits just right. Doesnāt leak at all. No reason at all to go for the higher priced ones!

Disappointing
I was so excited to find and purchase this lid. Although the description said that it would fit my H2go bottle it didnāt, itās just a tiny bit too big. It did fit another bottle that I have so I think Iām going to keep it, but not sure because Iāve been using it, but you have to suck hard in order to get a drink of the content. This is the closest though Iād come to the correct lid.

Air flow into top is not a design flaw
The valve to allow water to flow out has to also allow air in or nothing will come out in the first place when dealing with a hard side bottle. You must have an equal exchange of air and water....air in....water out. Pretty simple idea b again when dealing with hard sided containers. Soft sided you squeeze water out then the bottle sucks air back in through valve when you take your mouth off. Again pretty simple concept here.So to those of you giving one star because air is getting in your way of drinking....get a smart water bottle please.
