NaturedietChicken with Vegetables and Rice Dog Food Tray, 18 x 390 g

My 7yr old retriever has always been a fussy eater & I have struggled to find a food she will eat consistently. Before I realised how poor quality commercial dog food was, I had literally tried every brand available & eventually got her to eat Butchers superior. Even then she'd just pick at it. Since doing a lot of research, I ordered my first case of NatureDiet from Amazon & well, lets just say that it doesn't stay in the bowl long! Hurrah! My seven month old Chihuahua is also a fan.Comparing what I used to spend on commercial dog food at £4.49 for 6 tins (she's need two tins of this a day, most of which went to waste), the NatureDiet is real value for money on the subscribe & save as my girls actually need less because of the high quality. They do however, have a cup or two of Lily's Kitchen biscuits mixed in which are the only biscuits they will eat. On a less salubrious note, their stools are smaller, firmer & hardly smell since the switch.Very satisfied dogs & a relieved owner.

My dogs love this food and as the percentage is more meat it satisfies their hunger more than the other tinned dog food that is around. A bit of advice a sales man told me in store was that although tinned can be cheaper it contains more water and therefore have to give more to your dog to satisfy their hunger. This means buying more tinned food which doesn't work out any cheaperI must add I have never gone for cheaper over quality for my dogs and the Naturediet is a good quality dog food. I also know it's good for dogs with itchy skin. My beloved Westie was constantly back and fore to the vets as she kept on scratching, this was costing a small fortune until I was recommended Naturediet. As soon as she started to eat this instead of her usual tinned food her skin got better and I never again had to go back to the vets for her scratching her skin. That is another reason why my beloved dogs are on this and as stated they simply love it.I have the repeat order where it comes delivered every month which works out so much cheaper especially cheaper than buying it in any well known pet stores.

I have been feeding this produce for many years to dogs ranging in size from Chihuahua to Deerhound. They have all loved it and thrived - good teeth and coats and firm stools so easy to pick up!The food deserves five stars, but I have only given it four because of the packaging. It drives me round the bend. Occasionally, it will do what it's meant to do and peel off easily, but more often than not it either rips as I try and open it, or I can't budge it at all and I have to resort to a sharp knife. I have occasionally bought similar tray foods from other manufacturers and have no problem opening these other brands.Despite the irritation with the packaging I continue to feed Naturediet as it is good stuff and good value.

Our bullmastiff was raised on the prey diet but as our local butchers shut down we needed to find a replacement. We has fed hom naturediet for a while but it became too expensive so moved him to dry. Saw the bew lower price on the chicken so thought to take advantage. My dog is a super fussy eater (but not when it comes to raw meat and treats!) he lost a lot of weight on dry food as he couldnt hold it now. Now ive put him back on this he adores it. I heat them up in the microwave for one minute, squish it with a fork in his bowl ans he licks it clean. Sometimes i do struggles to peel the packaging off but who cares if your dog is getting great nutrition. Also want to add that our dog started to get food aggressive with dry food, couldnt even stroke him while he was eating. On this hes fine, calm and relaxed. Something dog owners with food aggression should consider.

I was recommended by our vet to buy this for my four year old bichon frise who has recently been very ill. Ordered chicken and veg with rice, as with all Naturediet meals, all ingredients are natural and no additives. I must say that she loves it and can't wait for the next meal time. If anyone is thinking of getting this for your dog then don't hesitate - your dog will love it and also its much cheaper here than at your local vets.A few weeks later...... I must add that previously when she was licking her paws and bottom the white fur had become very badly stained brown, but now after feeding with Naturediet the staining has completely disappeared and now she looks absolutely wonderful. If you have any problems with your dog it would be well worth buying Naturediet and see what happens!

I foolishly bought this product after reading favourable reviews. I usually by Burns pouches but finding too expensive so as Nutridiet appears to have same ingredients but far cheaper decided to try. Big mistake my dog won't touch it despite being careful to introduce slowly by mixing small amount with her usual food then feeding only this product and not feeding her until she was hungry I.e. no treats and offering over 48 hours. I would have to starve her for days to tempt her to eat this dog food. I just wish I had tried 1or 2 packs rather than purchase the pack of 18 but as she has a very good appetite and not a fussy eater I thought it would be OK. There was no problem with packaging and delivery was prompt. The low stars are based on the fact the product was not palatable to my dog. In this case you really get what you pay for.

The product is fine and my dog seems to enjoy it. I usually buy Forthglade which is great but Amazon ran out of stock (and put the price up 60% on subscribe and save - beware!) so I ordered this.THE PACKAGING IS HORRENDOUS. I’m a 36 year old able bodied man with decent strength and I am unable to open these packets properly. They either tear under extreme force or I have to use a knife to open them and cut around the plastic film. Add to that there being no mention of whether the packaging is recyclable, which it appears not. I’ve ordered 108 packets of food...that’s a lot of plastic waste!
