This is a lightweight glass jug. A tad thin but secure enough. No the lid does not lock on but sits on the top - but this means you can turn on the tap and water flows smoothly. A different type with a secure lid means you have to unlock the lid to get the water to flow due to the vacumn. I would always prefer a metal spigot - and would pay a little extra for that option - but this seems fairly secure for the first week and no leaks - for the price - it seems sound.

Package arrived in good order. Heavier and larger than expected (good for me!) Easy to clean. I have removed the rubber seal to allow for contents to empty without having to keep opening lid due to vacuum issues. Even with rubber seal removed, contents are sealed from environment and flies! Tap works very well. Flow stops immediately with no drips. I do envisage changing this to a stainless steel tap at some point in the future (Sold on Amazon) Bottle looks great when filled with lemons, cucumber, etc. Very happy with purchase.

The media could not be loaded. We only drink mineral water that comes in 5L, its difficult for some to lift and pour so this was the perfect solution. The tap is made from plastic not metal so bare this in mind when buying. It does function and look aesthetic but I would have preferred a metal tap. The issue I have is the water does not flow with the lid Shut (hence why its open in the image) Its obviously to do with physics so the pressure in the Jar does not allow the water to flow but its really bizarre... Nothing I do resolves the issue as seen in the video...Other than that it's a solid Jar and im happy with it... Just wished it worked without popping the lid open.

Before the tap snapped off & we were told it couldn't be replaced due to overuse!! Will not purchase again from here.

The stand is for a 5l jar not a 3l one. The 3l can sit on the stand but is not secure.

Although I DO like this product; it looks nice, good quality glass; I was very disappointed with one aspect. This item is advertised as having a "Stainless steel" tap and this is what made me purchase this particular product over others similar punch Jars.The tap is clearly NOT stainless steel but silver coloured plastic! The replacement tap, advertised on the same page, bears only a passing resemblance to the tap on the dispenser.So I feel I've been duped. The description is misleading; which is a real shame as otherwise, it would be perfect!
