I bought the MagniPros 5X Large LED Page Magnifier for my dad, who has reading difficulties due to glaucoma. This magnifier has made a noticeable difference in his ability to read comfortably and with much less strain. The large viewing area and clear magnification allow him to see the text clearly without constantly repositioning the lens.He especially appreciates the three color lighting modes, which help reduce glare and eye fatigue depending on the time of day or lighting in the room. The anti-glare lens is a thoughtful feature, and the built-in LED lights provide just the right amount of brightness.Overall, my dad is very happy with this product, and I'm grateful that something so simple can make such a big impact on his daily life. Me and my Aunt Nancy have been talking about poetry lately and she revealed that she's been dealing w severe glaucoma. Well I revealed that I have been having a hard time reading books w tiny print, so I use a magnifying thing I got from work. She ooh and ahhed. So I bought her this as a surprise gift. Next time we spoke she said she got it and it works just fine, "Thanks so much!" Money well spent.

It's a little hard to handle just sitting down, need to be at a table.

There is an explanation sheet on how the product was made, which went into great detail. A lot of research went into it and it is a high quality product. I am thoroughly satisfied with it and at Bible study sold two more. The lights on the side, provide a better reading surface. Thank you magna Pro for providing such a high-quality item. The battery area is a little difficult to get into, but that would be the only issue there would be.

The VIEWABLE lens space is 4.25" x 7" which, for studying textbooks is not practical. The lens is supposed to be high quality, but it's like any page-size bendable magnifier : it has concentric rings, which can distort the outer edges of your field of view. The frame is very flimsy and you have to 'click' it a LOT to get it into some usable position. By then, you wonder if the 'clicking' over and over will easily wear down. The sides don't move in tandem; you have to keep moving one side then the other to keep them level with each other.Requires 3 AAA batteries (not included). I had to put them in/out several times before the lights would even turn on.A short 'pop' to the on/off button will work, but HOLDING the on/off will NOT work. There are 3 light levels and the brightest is quite bright. I like the 3rd one - the blue light. It provides illumination but is easy on my eyes.I'll use it because I bought it and I can't find anything wrong with it. But it's disappointingly cheap and doesn't magnify entire pages of my textbooks as I need (and I've tried hanging it from the top of the book, etc.).Since I also do artwork - and some of it is quite fine and up close - I can see using this as a hands-free magnifier for artwork. Again, it's not great quality because it's not glass. I'll find a use for it.

This magnifier is very easy to use and does a great job when one needs to turn an article around to either read it or see it is needed to be seen. It makes it easy to twist an article while trying to magnify it properly. Transaction was great and is used a lot in our home. Transaction was great and it is used a lot. I'm an a mobile notary and I have a lot of senior clients who really struggle to see where on the document they are supposed to sign. Sometimes my signature guide works but I've been thinking there's something more I can do to help them. While notarizing for a client with macular degeneration, I watched her daughter hold a magnifying glass. And I had the idea to find one that stands on its own and lights up. I think this is really going to make a difference for so many of my clients!Plus it comes with a little carrying bag!

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who struggles with reading small text.
