Boil the water, rinse the rice, add rice to water, put on the lid. Reduce heat to simmer, check after 20 minutes. WaLa--perfect rice. Your rice will not stick to the pan, easy to clean. Love GreenPan.

I have an induction cook top so I was very happy that this pot is compatible. It is very nicely constructed and heavy so you can toast rice to before cooking without scorching it. The nonstick is excellent, I have made Spanish rice in it too and no sticking. Hand washes up with no effort.

It's adorable. It's easy to clean. It's perfect for small meals. So far I have used it to cook steel-cut oats, quinoa, and brown basmati rice. Next up I'd like to use it for lentils, split peas, etc. I also liked the suggestion from the other reviewer to use it for making a simple soup with broth and whatever veggies and noodles (and maybe meat) is on-hand. I often cook for myself, so the size is perfect for more than grains.I first saw this pot at a Wegmans supermarket while traveling, but they don't have Wegmans where I live, so I ordered the GreenPan 2-quart pot online. It arrived in a plain box with just some air bags for padding, and the lid was rattling around but undamaged. But I did wonder why it didn't come in the original packaging.

I love this cute little pot. It’s perfect…just what I needed, plus it was on sale (this color, which I like) for $17 off. I use it primarily for making chicken or vegetable soup. If you’re feeling ill and just don’t feel like peeling and chopping a lot of fresh vegetables or you don’t have time for making a larger pot of soup, this is such a time saver…especially if you have food sensitivities and can’t eat a lot of the additives and sodium which most canned soups have. Just throw in some unsalted frozen vegetables and chop some baked chicken, add a little chicken broth with some water and a bay leaf or two, maybe some pepper or peppers and a little olive oil and there you go. I use this pot almost daily. Sometimes, I’ll boil some gluten free noodles or some cream of rice in it. The clean up could not be quicker. Nothing sticks. Additionally, it’s made by GreenPan, a nonstick pan maker I trust as far as chemical concerns go. I do sincerely love it. I mean I was really ill and couldn’t find any edible canned chicken soup I could eat due to additives. Now it’s not much trouble to just make it. This very sturdy pot is truly a blessing to me when I’m ill.

I love Green Pans, but I was sent blue instead of Taupe. I’m disappointed, because I wanted to use it, now I have to wait for Amazon to send another one. I see I’m not the only one with this complaint.

It's well-made, cooks well, is easy to clean, and look great. This was a good long-term investment.

So far I am very happy with this pot, doesnt take up a lot of room (no handle) and you can pretty much use it for anything. One review suggested using it to boil eggs, so I tried that and was really happy with the results. Nice pot for rice, or making box soups, etc. Attractive enough to leave on the stove, too. Ths non stick interior is also a plus. Would recommend it.

Used to cook rice for 4 and the perfect size, fluffy and a quick clean up job. Would highly recommend.
