Let it sit in water for 5 minutes and put it in my humidifier. I have hard water and often saw the white powder all over my counters, but not after using this product. I was surprised how quickly it worked (and that it worked at all if I’m honest). Such a great price for how many come in a package

Protects my humidifier like a charm. None of that nasty white powder anymore. I think they're worth it. Easy to use too, just toss em in for the recommended time then replace

We have a 2.5L (about .6 gallon) mist humidifier. It generates a large amount of mineral dust.The room we are humidifying has computer, printer, and camera equipment. The amount of dust is unacceptable. I thought that these demineralization capsules would do the trick.According to the description, they can be used in a 1 gallon humidifier. I started with one capsule, without much effect. Kept adding capsules.With four capsules, the dust was reduced, but was still at unacceptable levels. Maybe I ordered the wrong version, or the batch was defective some how?

There was so much dust when the humidifier would run. These definitely work. There is no longer a need to dust every day.

Purchased these to put in our water tank on the humidifier. The winter months dry us out, so we use the humidifier daily, but have had issues with the white residue on furniture in the area from the tap water we have. This was a great way to not have to continually have to purchase distilled water and with these “pills” in the water we can use the tap water again and save money. Each pill says it is good for a month, so I set a reminder to change it out the first of the month and it’s been great so far. Since we only use it in the cold months, this set should last a while, but I will purchase again as soon as I’m low on the supply!

Capsules break open and spill the little chemical balls all over the inside of your humidifier which is a pain to clean out

I am going to give this 5 stars even though they did not work for me BECAUSE I have a water softener so it was NOT minerals causing my white dust issue but rather the salt which of course these cant remove. If you have the same issue you will need distilled water or an RO system.

We use 3 humidifiers in our basement during the winter: a new 1.5 gal, a 1 gal and a half gallon for the bedroom. For the first time this winter, we noticed a white mineral buildup on our air purifiers, so decided to try these cartridges to eliminate the white mineral dust. Cleaned the humidifiers and inserted these. After 2 weeks of use, no difference. Kept adding cartridges to the reservoirs hoping that would help. With 5 cartridges in the 1.5 gal, 4 in the 1 gal, and 3 in the 1/2 gal, still getting a lot of mineral dust in the air purifiers. May just a bad batch, but so far these are worthless.
