It is exactly what it claims to be and it works well. It is balanced, the bearings are good, fairly powerful for its size. And it's lightweight and portable. So unless I explicitly need something more capable this is what I use.

Perfect router tool for about any job. Since I already had the Hitachi and Metabo battery system, this tool was a no brain-er. Small but mighty tool handles any job with ease. I've seen negative reviews which I take with a grain of salt. I have a 3/4 HP older an much larger Craftsman tool that bogs down on certain wood species where this little mighty Metabo cuts through. Also, the job is only as good as the router bits, get good ones, you'll be happy.

Use for cutting hinge rebates, plenty of power of this with out the worry of it twisting out of your hand. Good at what I expect it was intended for.

works pretty well for the most part but the fine adjustment feature is useless, binds up. going to remove it

Easy to use. I love the side depth adjustment. It is quick, easy, and accurate. The LED light illuminates the cutting area, and the router is so easy to handle. The lack of a cord is a true bonus and battery life is very good. I am currently using 3, or 4 amp. hour batteries, and I get good run times out of both. be sure to check the Metabo website for the free battery offer. Very happy with this purchase.

Good router, could used brushless motor with better power. Metabo hpt already makes it in 36v to address this, but has not released it in the USA?

This is a fantastic trim router. I have only used mains powered ones previously, so was a little dubious about its power and the weight with a battery. All fears unfounded - this is great, really great. I would not go back to a mains unit now.The Metabo is exactly the same as the Hikoki (Hitatchi) unit and it works perfectly well with the Hitatchi and Hikoki batteries (I have both older Hitatchi and newer Hikoki branded batteries and they are both fine). I bought the Metabo unit, simply because it was cheaper! :-) Great value, super quality

Beautiful router that is very convenient and efficient. Nice grip and handling. It takes all the Makita router accessories in case you're interested. It's basically another Makita but cheaper.

This is a wonderful router & though in my opinion recommend.
