Star Wars Smart App Enabled R2-D2 Remote Control Robot Rc

Fabulous!Got it for my son's 7th birthday. Package arrived quickly and in due time. Very good packaging, the original box came intact, and in a giftable condition. The Droid itself is perfect! Controllled by an app which can be installed on any mobile, the robot requires 4 AA batteries. Long press on the frond pointy thingy, and it's on, babbling with all the original sounds. The app is very friendly, and easy to use. Lot's of fun for kids, and the adult-kids who are huge fans of star wars. Recommended!!!

Star Wars has always been my fav movie. Han Solo and R2D2 are my fav characters. When I saw R2D2 for sale and the price is very very reasonable & affordable I definitely grab the chance and bought. I was so scared at first bec it did say the package is damage but when it arrived it wasn’t as bad at all. The box just has faded coloring. It wasn’t bad at all. the price was so cheap but perfect. Playing R2D2 & making all his famous sounds and movements brings back my childhood great memories. It Brought me back when my family watch the first time I saw Star Wars in Theaters and I was amazed and love every bit of it. So thank you so much for it.

It look great was excited to get lay with it till I try downloading the app to find out it was no long available for download so the only thing it good for is a collection piece

Gave this to my husband for Christmas. It’s pretty cool and the app worked just fine. Obviously it works better on tile or wood floor than carpet but, we were surprised it trudged along on our carpet, slowly but it was still moving along.It’s a cool little gadget for some short entertainment. He does like to show it off when we have company over so it’s a win as a gift.It’s also cute when it sings the cantina song

The media could not be loaded. I gave this to a four year old as a gift and he LOVES it. He is obsessed with Star Wars, especially R2 so he already had the app and played without the toy. He got the droid for his birthday and hasn’t put it down since. My only two issues is that (1) while the app is easy enough for a four year old to use, the droid itself doesn’t come with very helpful instructions on his different “modes” he apparently has. There are videos and stuff but there is another more expensive Smart R2-D2 that does more, so trying to find if it goes to this one isn’t super easy.And (2) the box was roughed up a bit and R2-D2 has scuffs, dents, and dirt on it so it was clearly used and nowhere in the description did it say it would be. It’s not a big deal because it’s for a 4 year old so the odds of it staying flawless are pretty low. Still a little disappointing but the it’s so fun and cute and he loves it.

Right out of the box, the toy felt solid and heavier than expected. Upon loading the 4 AA batteries (not included), I was greeted with an R2D2 chirp to let me know that they were installed correctly (that's even before I turned it on!).I placed the little guy on the floor, turned it on and then fired up the app on my iPad Mini 4. Bluetooth found him right away, and I proceeded to run through the Missions segments to learn how to program his various sounds and movements. As I progressed, I was impressed at how much he is able to do. A lot of thought was put in to the programming blocks, allowing for single commands to be run multiple times, grouped to be executed at the same time, and even looping a single command or a series of them.It's only been two days since it arrived and I can already see that there's far more to this little guy than I was expecting.Stay tuned for further updates as I continue to explore the possibilities.

This is the greatest. I gifted this to one of the worlds biggest star wars fan and he lit up like a little kid on christmas. R2 is heavy and well made. He is also very disobedient when in independent mode. Typical R2. His usual antics are to drive off his table. All jokes aside, using the app and the different modes are a blast, especially when you make his dance.

This R2D2 came in what is clearly used condition, with the box roughed up and the toy itself was missing a tiny light bulb. That was forgivable but we learned (after opening it) that the app used to control it was discontinued in June of 2023! It’s an expensive paperweight that does nothing at all. There were no directions included with the toy and this should be pulled from Amazon or at least made clear it is just a piece of expensive plastic!
