Q: Why is this fork advertised at about 2,000 grams when my 25 year Rock Shox Judy which uses springs inside is actually a full 3/4 lbs lighter?

Well, it weighs in at 2085g, nominal so that’s probably why. But by all means rebuild your 25 year old Judy… if you can find the right parts. This fork is a definite upgrade from a 25 year old Judy, hands down. I replaced a ‘98 Judy XC hydracoil on my ‘97 S30, used one for my ‘99 Moab and ’01 Rocket 88. Great fork for the money.
