Guillow Paul K 55 Jetstream Balsa Wood Glider Plane

Great airplane! Flies great, and lands smoothly. It usually glides for a second after rubber band runs out which helps it land. Some parts like the rudder, elevator and cockpit had to be glued so they don't move around. This particualar plane can be modified easily and even be flown tethered with special modifications, but for that you will need a different rubber motor for longer flight, and a tether, which can be made from things at home. It is not very durable though, so it may break if it hits something hard, but it is easy to fix with wood glue and it usually lands smoothly. For short, it is a great plane for it's price, and works great. Your kids will absolutely love this!

These planes are super lightweight (balsa wood) and won't last for long - but while they do, they are FUN. My 8 year old grandson had a blast. He wound it up, set in down on our sloped driveway and it actually took off from the ground with the wheels! These are very delicate and only lasted a couple of days, but my husband enjoyed the nostalgia of playing with them and introducing this 'old style' fun to our grandsons.

Came in a box but it was unusable the wood was broken into pieces thus the same I used to play with as a kid that cost 50 cents back then.

These are great. Yes, they are a bit flimsy and easy to break. They are balsa wood! They have always been like that. It is what the toy is meant to be. These are FUN!

I love these things. The only unfortunate thing is that the rubber band broke the first time I tried to fly it, and it doesn't come with any backups. So I'm a little disappointed, so now it just sits there and I can't do anything with it.

It is a good product. I only gave 4 stars because it was broken when delivered. They did replace it right away though and they were not broken the second time. It is just like the ones they had in the late 50's and 60's. They are a lot of fun for little ones. I will buy again but only have it shipped by itself.

I bought this to sit on a shelf for fun, but it flies really well too.

I realize these are make of balsa wood so you should be very careful to avoid breakage. But they are just too fragile. I cracked one of the wings just getting it out of the package. Still works, and works okay, but definitely not enough plane for the price.
