No more KEYS!
MUCH easier to use than keyed ones. Have gotten tired of trying to keep track of keys. As far as the item, it works flawlessly. Tge plastic shroud keeps the digital locking wheels clean.

it works fine
I have not used it on my hitch yet, but so far everything seems to be working just fine. When locked, it's pretty sturdy. The provided sheath/cover is flexible and strong, and should protect the lock from the elements for years. Love the convenience of not having to carry yet another key.Resetting the code might appear a little more complicated than it really is, but once you know how to do it, it's straightforward: Basically once unlocked and the bolt removed, you can twist open the lock mechanism; then remove all the lock rings (it's ok to just let them fall out). Then you'll need to line up the black dots on the core, then replace the rings per the code you have in mind, then put back the large locking nut. That's it.I cannot attest to its road worthiness, or its longevity, at this point but I'll soon need it on my new hitch carrier. I'll update if there is any new discovery.

Simple, easy for low/medium level security
First, why are so many people having trouble setting this lock? There is a YouTube video for the folks who prefer "visual," ie. can't read. Yes, there are two minor errors in the written instructions:1. In the blowup diagram at the top, "Fig. 1", "(H) Pin" is actually "Pin (F)" in Fig. 2 of the instructions.2. In Fig 3 of the instructions, "Red Set Marks (C)" are actually black, as is "Guide Point (A)"Your welcome but figuring this out was not genius work. The pin itself may be steel but the lock body is "caca" metal; zinc or pot metal. No on would try to pick this since destroying it with a hammer is so much faster. I would advise against using this lock to protect an expensive hitch but to protect my rust old trailer ball, it is just fine; the only idiots who would try to steal that would probable use the wrong end of the hammer.

Very good lock pin
I had it for years.... the only thing was the cover that broke. Is still working everyday on my hitch.

Great Hitch Lock that helps avoid the need to carry another key
I was looking for a combination hitch lock and was lucky to come across this one. Happy to report that it works great! Biggest issue was measuring my old hitch pin and deciding between the 1/2" and the 5/8" lock. In my case my MDX had a 5/8" pin and this lock fit perfectly with no rattling that is common with under sized hitch pins.Default combo is 0-0-0-1. Once it is unlocked you simply twist the collar counter clockwise one position. You can then pull off each number wheel. To set your combo simply put each number wheel back with the digit you wanted instead of the 0-0-0-1 default. Once reassembled turn collar clockwise one click and verify your combo still works.I added the instructions into the product images in case you ever have to reset the combo again. If you forget your combo you might be screwed so be sure to make it match something you'll remember (car radio code, last 4 digits of your phone number, etc.).I greased my lock inside and outside to help prevent future corrosion. The lock comes with a cool black rubber jacket to keep the tumblers clean and dry, but the high pressure car wash places I goto usually manage to get water inside so I'm using it without it.This hitch receiver lock will prevent most folks from walking off with your ball hitch, fancy cap cover or in my case a tail and brake light to help avoid rear end collisions (Bully CR-007A Tail and Brake Light).Bully CR-007A Tail and Brake Light

You'll never have to look for the right key for your hitch lock again
Tired of all the keys on my chain and searching for the right key when securing my bike rack to the receiver I knew there had to be a better way... and this fit the bill perfectly! It was a snap to set the combination to the four digits I wanted and it takes less than a second to install it and slide the rubber cover over it while in use. Only a few seconds to open it as well. It's sturdy enough to hold a bike rack (or small trailer) in the receiver so that's all I expect. While I don't doubt someone who really wanted to break it could do so, it would be easier to cut the cable locking my bike to the rack.(But as rare as my bike is on the rack unattended, I'm not worried when I make a quick trip into the grocery store while parked in plain sight.)But most important to me is the convenience.

Easy peasy
Everything is great. It’s easy to move the numbers, easy to set a combo and very secure. Perfect for my use as it keeps a hidden safe hitch insert with my key in it since my phone is the key. In case of emergency and I can’t get in with a dead phone or dead battery I can get to my key.
