it kept water cold on first day only
water was cold for 1 day only , after i started making curd in it the curd seeped in pot pores and never came out . now it does not cool as before as pores are clogged . i used baking soda , overnight soak in water, hot water boil but the milk fat which deposited in pores could not be cleaned so its a useless now .The pot is sort of dark red which gives me doubt some chemical or paint has been used and pores are closed .

Repeated algae on the pot
We made the curd and then didn’t use it for a while. The pot immediately got green algae on it from outside as well inside. We dried and kept the pot
