This lock is easy to use and very secure. I like that it has a cover over the key hole to prevent rust or any crawlies from getting inside. I also like that it comes with a mount so I don't have to wrap it around my bike or stick it in my bag. I actually just keep the lock always connected to the mount so that I can just go after locking my bike up. It comes with 5 keys, so I keep a coupe at home, one on my key ring, and an extra in my purse.My only issue is with how thick and difficult to maneuver the cord is. Because it's made to coil up, it's hard to uncoil it and wrap it around my bike and rack. However, I prefer that it coil so it doesn't drag the ground or I have to wrap it up myself. This is just something I am getting used to.I use my bike at a heavily populated college campus, and it hasn't been stolen yet so it's doing it's job!

This bike cable/lock is exactly what I needed! I had purchased a similar one a few years ago & it works great. The Doberman model is a bit thicker & definitely designed with security in mind. It can be a bit cumbersome to unwind when locking up my bikes, however, I'm able to lock up two adult sized mountain bikes through both front & rear wheels and frames. Great purchase, definitely worth it. Comes with extra spare keys as well.

While I haven't tested this cable with a pair of cutters, I feel confident that they will hold up as well as any cable. They are quite heavy and thick. The downside of this is the cable is also a bit difficult to use.When straightening the cable to lock your bike the cable *really* wants to stay coiled, so it can be difficult to lock up the bike. Also, I frequently struggle to get the velcro wrapped around the cable in order to put back on my bike. I my figure this out someday, but still working on it.Having talked about the difficulties in using this lock, I still like it because I feel that the challenges come from the fact that the cable is so thick and sturdy - which is the real reason I wanted it. Also, this lock comes with a mount to attached the cable to your bike for easy carrying. I use the mount and am pretty happy with it - though I may be removing it soon to make room for other items as I prepare for a bike tour.

Decent Lock, thick cable. My last thinner one was cut...but I suspect this one will put up more of a fight (I hope).I like the amount of spare keys included. Hate huge keys, so I like that the spares are minimally sized. I thought the key hole protector would be annoying...but it doesn't hinder key entry at all really. Pretty simple. I thought having to keep the keys in the lock to lock/unlock would annoy me..but it's not bad after all.Because the cable is thick, it's can be rather difficult to unravel. Especially on cold days. To be expected though.

What sent to me is a small pool 4-digit lock with super thin coil (about 4-5mm) in a weak package from china. Totally different from the picture on website (Type, color, length and thickness are ALL DIFFERENT).I dont know what to do except leaving an one-star commend to it.

This lock is six feet long, comes with one key with a light and four spare keys and a mounting kit for your bicycle. Seems incredibly sturdy and the keys turn easily so far. It is long enough to wrap around both my husband's and my beach cruiser frames, wheels and whatever we are securing it to. Easily stored wrapped around the seat post, we haven't tried the mounting kit yet, and hasn't damaged the paint at all and the light on the key is ridiculously convenient and very bright. So far, I am very happy with this purchase.

It was fine for about a month. Then the plastic lock housing broke loose and started rotating on its own making it hard to insert the lock end. Then today the end of the housing (where you insert the key) broke off.I would have given this a much higher rating, since it feels hefty and solid but obviously the maker doesn't care about making a product that lasts...especially for this price.So today I'm here on Amazon looking for a new lock, from a different company.

Solid, well built, this is my second one.Why I like it:Comes with Five well made key .Better built and cheaper than the comparable Kryptonite lock (only two keys).Good mounting system for your bike- if you decide to use it.Update, over a year later: This lock can be left outside, getting splashed with rain and show and subjected to baking sun with no ill effects.

La verdad es que vi varios otros doberman con calibres menores en nivel seguridad 30 o 40, creí que sería lo mismo, pero en realidad es un 45 de 100, lo cual se me hace bastante bueno para el precio, de hecho si se nota la calidad de la cadena, lo único malo es que él porta-cadena que incluía se me rompió de inmediato, entiendo que quizás no tuve delicadeza al quitárselo pero aun así no me costo prácticamente nada romperlo, si bien de esa pieza no depende la seguridad, al menos si lo incluye uno espera que sea de la misma calidad.

Would give it 5 stars but a solid pair of bolt cutters would not take long to cut through it
