Unresolved software bugs
This product has glowing reviews from the likes of 'Which' and 'What HiFi' magazine etc plus many individuals who have made the purchase. My experience however is very different to theirs.The main purpose in wanting to purchase this recorder was to use the Humax App that enables one to set TV programmes on a mobile phone whilst I am away from home. Prior to ordering I emailed Humax customer services to make sure the bugs that had been reported were now resolved. There reply assured me that all features were now working ok. This turned out to be not true . . this product has been in production for over 3 years and STILL the App does not work properly. Plus, moving or copying TV programmes to a USB stick does not work with HD recordings and when you try, it intermittently deletes recorded programmes on the hard drive during the process. Recent calls to Humax customer services acknowledged that their are still some software bugs but could not provide me with a date when these issues would be resolved. Needless to say the machine was returned as faulty.

Nice machine, however Wi-Fi poor.
Everything worked well apart from no connection via the Wi-Fi despite it being moved to next to the router. This was a real shame as it was purchased for the built in Wi-Fi

Brilliant freeview box
Very nice recordable freeview box works well

Excellent
Unlike some others I have foud this to be excellent. The remote is clearly laid out and the functions are easy to follow. This was a replacement for a BT box that died and I now wish I'd bought this earlier instead of the BT box. So far cannot fault it and if you need extra storage just plug in an external hard drive.
