You can’t beat whole nutmeg for fresh tasting nutmeg. Grated the nuts on a microplane for fantastic fresh flavor on a bechamel sauce

I use nutmeg often in baking and also a little in macaroni and cheese. I couldn’t find any whole nutmeg in any of the grocery stores. Love the smell.
