They seem nervous to go in but they love chewing on it! Sturdy and smooth. Difficult to install but I think it's just the way I had it. Beautifullly matched the other toys and the hole was a perfect size.

Perfect

Buying this birdhouse seemed like a good good place my bird could take shelter from the wind. During the summer we place him out on the outside deck. This was easy to install in a few minutes. I watched for serval days, but never saw the bird go inside. After a week I notice part of the roof missing. The bird was chipping away the top corner. After a month I finally had remove the wooden house. He had chew a good portion of the top opening away and side wall. Although it didn't serve as a shelter he did love it as a chew toy.

Too big for most cages

Got this for a pair of parrotlets that had recently discovered their animal lust for one another; knew the risk of the female becoming eggbound so we needed a solution quickly - and this is a good one. Mounted inside the cage, they took a day or two to get acclimated (lifting the top helped to allow light in) and she's currently resting comfortably on a six-pack of tiny eggs. Other than the oddly-placed divider on the floor of the box, it's basically perfect with no sharp edges; the perch is perfect for their feet and the metal entrance isn't slippery or unstable. Easy to remove her as necessary for cleaning such, all for a good price. No complaints!
