They absolutely love these logs, when I fill up the log feeder they go bonkers for it, bickering and jostling for the best position to get to the suet. I've found a way to make the logs last longer, to make it a budget friendly feeding method. I cut each log into three equal parts, and put one of these cut parts into each hole in the log feeder. That way a six pack becomes a pack of eighteen. I have found that one third of a suet log just nicely fills a hole in the feeder, reaching through to the openings at both end, and this lasts a day even when the starlings find it. I've noticed that suet logs also tend to make a lot less mess on the ground than suet cakes. I'm happy, the birds are happy and I don't worry anymore about my dog eating the greasy crumbs because there are none. Fab way to feed birds.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"A***R"},"reviewBody":"All the birds love these suet logs, and I buy the insect+mealworms, and the berries varieties.I watch parrots, rooks, starlings, tits, doves, wood pigeons, blackbirds all pecking away at the suet logs in my \"log containers\".The log containers are attached to a strong nylon rope strung across the lawn.It helps the birds if you hoist the line up with one of those poles for holding up washing, so the birds don't bounce around too much.I put a piece of broom stick through the lower hole in the log containersso that the birds can feed from above or standing on the lower perch. It gives me hours of pleasure watching them have fun bobbing up and down and pecking away at the logs.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"M***R"},"reviewBody":"I bought a suet log feeder at my local garden centre, the suet logs there were a bit pricey but it looked so nice and I thought the logs would last for ages. I was wrong, the birds absolutely loved the logs and they were gone within a couple of days. This pack of 36 logs is a really good price, a fraction of the price I paid at the garden centre and the birds love them just as much! The smaller birds are particularly attracted to them, but annoyingly the Magpies really like them too and if you don't place the feeder somewhere they can't hang on, they decimate the logs within hours and the small birds don't get a look in!","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"A***R"},"reviewBody":"Just ordered these for the second time. A very good price compared to the pet shop or garden centre. The long tailed tits and blue tits absolutely love them, unfortunately so does our resident squirrel, I've given them four stars because they are slightly slimmer than the ones that came with the log feeder, so the squirrel has no trouble pulling out whole ones! I've tried wrapping small pieces of card around the middle to bulk them out, and have now ordered a baffle (expensive pastime this bird feeding), hopefully that will thwart him! But still a great product.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"4.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"T***Y"},"reviewBody":"Although a tiny fraction more expensive than my previous source, I've switched to these as I don't have to travel to get them, thus negating the higher price, but especially because the birds truly love them. They have attracted woodpeckers, all tits, corvids, jays, jackdaws, robins - the list goes on. We have a garden full of wildlife with many birds coming specifically for these logs.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"C***K"},"reviewBody":"I'm a regular buyer of these - all the birds and squirrels love them BUT they seem to have got narrower so wildlife can just pull them out of the feeder šI bought a new feeder from Suet to Go as my existing one was a bit chewed up in the hope it would solve the problem but no, the holes are too big for the size of the logs you're providing now.Six logs gone in a day, twice = absolute waste of MONEY!","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"1.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"J***R"},"reviewBody":"Great value compared to most other suet log offers...trouble is that all the wild birds that descend on our feeders absolutely ADORE these logs, with the result that they are eaten in preference to the suet balls, peanuts and grains we put out in other containers.Highly recommended by me... and the birds.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"P***L"},"reviewBody":"I bought these for my bird feeder. I purchased the insect flavour variety because the seeded variety tends to sow weeds under the feeder. These are very attractive to blue-tits and each log is devoured in a few days. I gave it full marks on the recommendation of the blue-tits.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}}]},{"@type":"Product","name":"Berry and Bugs Suet Block Wild Bird Treat, 10 x 300 g","url":"/product/48625808","image":"https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61zqxcs9a7L.jpg","offers":{"@type":"Offer","price":2000,"priceCurrency":"GBP","availability":"https://schema.org/InStock","hasMerchantReturnPolicy":{"@type":"MerchantReturnPolicy","returnPolicyCountry":"gb","applicableCountry":["gb"],"returnPolicyCategory":"https://schema.org/MerchantReturnFiniteReturnWindow","merchantReturnDays":14,"returnMethod":"https://schema.org/ReturnByMail","returnFees":"https://schema.org/FreeReturn","refundType":"https://schema.org/StoreCreditRefund"}},"description":"Berry and Bugs Suet Block Wild Bird Treat, 10 x 300 g","brand":{"@type":"Brand","name":"suet to go"},"aggregateRating":{"@type":"AggregateRating","ratingValue":"4.5"},"review":[{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"R***W"},"reviewBody":"Good value and easy to unwrap packaging.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"A***N"},"reviewBody":"These suet blocks are the most popular attraction for the birds in the garden. I bought these as they looked to be slightly better packaged than some other 12.75 kilo brands but tbh the packaging is pretty much the same, still come in a very large thick plastic bag.Now it's early days, only been feeding this brand for a week but so far the marauding gangs of flying rats (starlings) seem to have disappeared. Now this is a huge bonus if they don't like it as it means the other birds can get a look in and grab a free snack without having to run the gauntlet of bullying starlings ( Gawd I hate em). Don't get me wrong, I don't want em dead, just NIMBY. Apparently they don't like pure suet too much so I'm guessing these don't have too much insect in them, they certainly don't smell as bad as some brands. Also means the food isn't all gone a few minutes after putting it out so it's going to save me money too!","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"A***E"},"reviewBody":"I love feeding the birds and get through large quantities of bird food. These Suet To Go suet pellets are a staple in our garden and the birds love them. They are great quality, soft suet and there is some dust towards the bottom, but it's relatively minimal. Other brands that we've had, (occasionally when we've ordered these from sellers other than Amazon they've sent a different brand), have been full of dust and not nearly as appreciated by the birds. The birds that are attracted by these in our garden are mainly blue tits, great tits, long-tailed tits, sparrows and starlings. The blackbirds and robin also go nuts for them if we scatter a few of them on the ground or put them on an accessible feeder.I would highly recommend getting some of these suet pellets if you'd like to help the birds in your garden. Not even heavy duty packing paper, but actual TISSUE paper. It immediately began to disintigrate when I tried to open it, especially as it was stuck to the inside of the cardboard box.Fortunately I had a few sturdy containers to transfer the pellets to, but it took quite a while to scoop them all out (and clean up the floor afterwards) as this is a large and very heavy box.Saving on plastic is a wonderful ecological move, but better paper exists for packaging. I'd suggest they use it. If you're daft enough to place them where the debris is going to fall somewhere it makes a mess, that makes you stupid, not the good quality balls bad. Similarly, I've seen people complain that many in the pack are broken on arrival. Once again engage brain before whining, this isn't the supplier, it's the courier. I've had one pack arrive with just one cracked ball and one arrive with about 20 cracked and broken, so what? The delivery was also very fast and efficient.HOWEVER ...the outer cardboard box was fine, but when I cut it open I was dismayed to find the pellets were encased in tissue paper. Nothing else. If this box had been left outdoors in the wet, this would have become quite a mess.Hence the 3, rather than 5 stars, which I would have given had the pellets arrived in sensible packaging.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"3.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"M***3"},"reviewBody":"Doesn't crumble and get wasted like other brands, the birds don't leave a trace, maybe too nice","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"D***E"},"reviewBody":"very good product","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"G***9"},"reviewBody":"I have previously bought this brand and been very happy with the quality : the birds also love these suet pellets. The reason for 3* rating is not for product quality, rather the packaging. No brand name on box as per photo on Amazon site and unfortunately not packaged in protective plastic, again, as previously received and currently advertised on website. I know we're doing our best to reduce the use of plastic, but such an amount of loose suet pellets in a cardboard box is definitely not satisfactory so far as I'm concerned....... Added 17/03/22 I am now wondering if these are genuine 'suet to go' as having fed birds with the new batch recently received I find the quality dry and less fatty than my previous purchases.......","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"3.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"N***E"},"reviewBody":"Brought suet with mealworm. And all birds seem to have loved it. But I donāt think I would buy it again. Because (1) EVERYTIMe it got a bit wet, it sets like cement which birds donāt like(2) my grass under the feeder looks white from the dust of suet pallet (3) i stored this in my shed and found that towards the end it was going mouldy so had to throw away.
